My stay in Casanaga was one of the nicest hostel experinces I have had. Its in an amazing location just above the beach in the tiny village of Almáciga; from where you can spend the days hiking, swimming & surfing. The hostel itself is really welcoming and all of the volunteers go to a lot of effort to make sure you're really well looked after, they were all lovely people to cross paths with for a few days. Breakfast and dinner are overlooking the ocean and you share the meal with the other guests in the hostel. Generally the vibe is very calm and peaceful and its a lovely place to escape to. The surrounding scenery is stunning, I would recommend hiring a car as its fairly remote.

Everything! Could get a good sleep with having a comfortable mattress and sounds of the ocean. Great location with 15 mins walk to the beach. Absolutely beautiful view! A lot of fun and plans organised by the host for guests. Ollie was very helpful from the moment I booked the place, giving info on how to get there without a car and any other questions that I had.

What a place! Super friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Perfect place for solo travellers if you’d like to hang out with people for a bit (if not, you can easily find a quiet place). Breakfast and dinners were amazing. The location is perfect, you can walk down to the beach in few minutes. The views from the hostel are crazy. The hostel is full of entertainment if you’re looking for some. I can’t express how perfect that place is, one of the best hostels I’ve been to and definitely a special one!

Honestly nothing.

Honestly the best hostel I went to (and I went to many)! The location is so peaceful and authentic, close to many hiking spots and also to the beach (that is just down the road). I ended up extending my stay for 2 more nights! The volunteers make you feel at home. It's a quiet and peaceful hostel. The beds are so comfy with a sea view and the sound of waves crashing. The casita shared space has a balcony with a sea view: so relaaaxing! Also, the terrace is so nice and getting breakfast (at 9am) there was incredible. You can also get a shared dinner which really makes you feel like sharing it with friends/family. If you need, you can make laundry for 5€. The place is deserved by a regular bus (but careful as the last one from Santa Cruz is at 7:35pm). I will miss this place but will come back for sure!

Not many guests using Kitchen facilities, also not fully functional so most people do the hostel dinner. Super good food but a bit expensive for budget travelers

Great stay at Casanaga, the team is super welcoming and makes sure you have a great time. Lots of activities organized to keep busy and meet other travelers, i Felt part of the family straight away! Also the Location is amazing, with views on the cliffs and beach just nearby. If you come by bus it is a bit more difficult to get around but still possible walking/ busing. I loved my stay and met incredible people there, thanks again Ollie. 3 nights turned into a few more!

I liked everything.

Honestly, everything. The hostel was very comfortable (spacious female dorm, comfortable beds, co-working space, lots of areas to chill). I liked the people/community - morning coffee, breakfast, dinners and evening activities (mostly playing instruments and singing). Volunteers and Ollie were amazing. I would suggest this hostel to anyone who likes beautiful nature and peace. ❤️

It’s one of the best hostels I stayed in and definitely best on Tenerife! It’s rare for me to come back to same places but this one is a place to be! Can’t wait to be back! The owner Olie created a very unique place 🫶🏼

This is definitely one of the nicest places I've ever stayed at! If you enjoy nature, then the location of this hostel couldn't be any better, with beaches and hiking trails pretty much at the doorstep. Participating in activities such as yoga, hiking, beach clean-up, volleyball, and so much more, or just joining for a delicious dinner on the rooftop, there are plenty of options to meet other travellers and socialise. Ollie and his team really made me feel at home from the very first moment! I for sure always would come back :)

The common area are shut at 22 and there is nowhere to hang out.

The hostel is located on a cliff facing at the sea and the beautiful black beach (5 min walk) surrounded by mountains. It’s a beautiful house with many common areas,a rooftop and a balcony where you can watch the sunset. They serve a lovely breakfast in the morning included in the price and offer yoga classes!

Casanaga is a really great place to spend your vacation. The location with the ocean view in the mountains is amazing. It is just a 5 minute walk to the beach and you can start nice hikes directly from the hostel. The athmosphere in the hostel is amazing with a really motivated manager and volunteers. There is morning yoga and coffee on the terrace and sometimes there are even more activities during the day which you can join for free. The food is also great and a lot. Breakfast is included and also you can join dinner in the evening which most people do. The hostel can be easily reached by bus. Thanks to everyone involved, I would love to come back soon.
