Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The staff were lovely: friendly and very helpful. It was not very expensive, but the hotel is attractive and the room was very comfortable. I would certainly stay there again!

Location. Nice restaurant. (Italian, which was a welcome change, and many locals use it.) Good view from room over a pretty little square. A little noisy at night (it is in Spain!) but very quiet once the restaurant had closed. Helpful with storing our bikes.

It would be nice if there was a kettle and glasses in the room, but it is really a minor thing.
It was a very good experience and cosy place. Despite the fact that there is a bar in the ground floor, we did not experience any noise. I do not know if it was because we were at the second floor or if it is just well isolated. The place is located very close to the center. The room was sunny, the surrounings was quiet. On the whole the room was very well equipped, elegant and quiet. There were additional blankets at our disposal and also we could control temprature with air-conditioning.

Very nice location, very friendly staff. The restaurant is very nice. There is no parking nearby, but the owner, a very nice lady, drove me in her car to the place where I had left my car and guided me to a street very close to the hotel where I could park my car for free. I have never seen such a good treatment. I totally recommend.

The hotel is well located in the old town， close to the castle, where you can have a magnificent view of sunset ! The room of the hotel is very quiet. Very good quality-price ratio !

I was the victim of a bait and switch scam. The hotel changed their price, increased by 50 Euros after I'd booked!!! I couldn't cancel or I'd have been charged. I was traveling there in 2 days so there was nothing to do but go or lose my money. The room was hot when I arrived. There's a thermostat but where the numbers should be, there was a hole covered in scotch tape. There were 2 settings: heat and air conditioning. It was on heat, so I pushed the lever down to air conditioning. The air conditioning didn't work, but at least it turned off the heat. The next day when I arrived back at my room, either the cleaning staff or maintenance had put a space heater in the room. It seemed kind of complicated to operate so I left it alone. Wasn't giving off heat. Unknown to me, it was plugged in and came on overnight. I had a very hot, uncomfortable sleep kicking off the covers. When I awoke int he morning I realized the space heater was churning out heat and I pulled the plug out. I guess I should have done that the night before, but I really thought I had to operate the controls to turn it on. So hot, uncomfortable, and pissed off about being charged a higher price didn't make for a good stay.
Location is excellent, inside the walled old town. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. I was able to walk from the train station and then to the bus station when I left, but it's over 2km walk. I recently finished the Camino de Santiago and was traveling with a backpack, so I was fit enough to do it. Most people would need a taxi. Small room with a bathroom. Adequate.

The location was great -inside the walled city and within walking distance of restaurants, cafes, monuments, and beautiful plazas. The staff at the hotel were super welcoming and kind. A special mention goes to Pilar, who checked us in - great customer service. The restaurant next door has good food at very reasonable prices, and the wait staff was also very accommodating and helpful. There is paid parking nearby and the area is very safe. We will definitely stay at this hotel on our next visit to Ávila.

Air conditioning / Heating didn’t work very well. No way to alter the settings, so the air con was too hot. Also, bed seemed a bit small, particularly the width.

Note that the reception is unmanned at night so if you want a taxi etc before 1000 then order it the previous night or book it yourself on the phone.
Lovely historical building just inside the walls and not far from the Plaza and Cathedral. Very close to birthplace of St Teresa. Note that the on site Restaurant is a very nice Italian and not the Meson Del Rastro which is separate. Recommend the tourist tranvia which goes all over the city and out to various sites nearby. Also breakfast at Santagloria is very good.

Can’t complain - fantastic!
For the price I paid it was a palace. One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in and for 40€ a night a real bargain!

Absolutely nothing. Great hotel.
Great location. Very hospitable owners. We needed to change rooms due to heating issues and had a small issue with the washroom sink, which was rectified extremely quickly.
