Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAir-conditioning didn't work properly - only cold air regardless of heat setting/ temperature. One light switch sparked and could not be used. Rooms not sound proof, hear people dragging furniture and their entire conversations all night. Pool is only open 10-6pm, even though daylight was 6am-9pm and warm enough esp with the heated pool. Fridge wouldn't keep anything cold. Charge for towels, and for tea bags/milk satchets. Smokers at the pool litter their butts around.
Great view, good sized pool - first one I've seen that's accessible for all. Spacious room, great shower, safe area and convenient for the beach/ train. Lots of pool beds and space, bar/food near the pool.

GermanyIt’s an old building and unfortunately they didn’t install soundproofing when it was renovated so you hear your neighbours. Some things felt a bit penny pinching, like a €3 daily charge for the use of pool towels and charging for replacement tea bags. In a 4 star hotel, these should be included. No glasses in the rooms, just cheap plastic cups in the bathroom. The beds were quite firm, could do with a softer mattress topper - I ended up using the spare duvet.
Great central location, with a lift that takes you up to the town or down to the beach level. Modern renovated rooms were nicely decorated. Free safe. The pool area is nice and a real sun trap, pool is heated to 28c in the winter. Not so big so it could get crowded in high season.

United KingdomThe shower plug was blocked, so the tray overflowed. We told reception as we went out, and it was cleared when we came back, but the bath mat had been used to mop up the gunk and was left in a dirty pile. Tea, coffee and water were free on arrival, then you had to pay for each sachet after that. The 'gym' was not very well equipped.
Good sized room, clean and comfortable. Location was good

IrelandCharming hotel with old style decor, almost retro. The breakfast area was lovely. Very good value breakfast at €10. Very comfy beds and nice bathrooms with powerful showers. Wish I had gone for a swim, the pool was nicer than I thought on closer inspection. Very friendly staff in the bar, at reception and the cleaner was so nice.

United KingdomA little dated. But without tearing the place apart, its just the fabric of the building and style of it's day.
Good pool area, friendly efficient check in, (usually offered a free drink upon arrival, tho they missed us this time) good location 6 or 7 minutes from the train station, nice rooms, very clean, buffet style breakfast and dinner which you can purchase if you haven't booked any meals. Lift to the beach level as this is a town centre hotel and the beach is down a hill via steps.

United KingdomNothing worth mentioning.
The hotel is particularly distinctive, being built on the side of a cliff with entry on the eighth floor, and an exit from the ground floor. Lots of room, views over the sea, excellent meals.

United KingdomThe bathroom seemed a bit aged, although still in satisfactory condition.
This is a very unique hotel. How many have the entrance on the 8th Floor, and you go down by the life to get to your room? Fortunately there is another entrance on the ground floor, so you are spared the climb from sea level to the main high level at Torremolinos. Rooms are large and luxurious. Views over the sea are magnificent. Sometimes you can hear the waves from the room.

United KingdomIt was slow to check in and I hated the key wrist band, can’t imagine the state of it after a week or so and hated walking around the town with it on. Luckily I wasn’t there that long to worry about it. Breakfast was great but so noisy in the restaurant with plates and cutlery thrown about as they clean up after dinners onto some sort of trolley. But the worst thing was the stupid situation regarding coffee/tea/milk etc in the room. Apparently you get a couple of each free initially but then you need to pay for any additional ones. What is that about if it’s not money pinching? I took my own tea (I always do) but needed the little milk capsules which they reluctantly gave me as if they were gold dust. I’ve travelled the world and never had that before! Finally, I didn’t use the tv but I noticed there wasn’t a remote for it in the room, I assume you have to pay extra for that also? Why, when you have such a nice hotel do you treat your guests so cheaply and badly? For heaven sake, charge a bit extra in the overall price for these things and stop being so silly!
This is a nice hotel. Great location, breakfast was very good, nice sized room with a balcony which was lovely. Staff were nice and I enjoyed my stay of two nights and would probably go back again.

FinlandThe pool wasn't heated so the water was very cold. Also a pool bar would've been nice.
A specious room with wide beds. Excellent breakfast with many different options. Also the breakfast room was a very large space so it wasn't crowded at all. The location of the hotel was perfect.

United KingdomEvery extra was chargeable. Pool towels, €3 a day. Spa facilities charged by the hour, extention on the room, €10 an hour. We went in mid-December, so the hotel was quiet. I felt that maybe some of these charges could have been dropped.
The hotel is very central. Train station a few minutes walk, as is the beach. The rooms were clean. We had a pool and sea view. The breakfast was really good. Lots of choice and both inside and outside seating. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

SwedenOne of our rooms didn’t have ventilation. The room became very hot since the temperature was not possible to adjust in individual rooms. There were ants in the bathroom or even one in the bedsheet…
Staff were very kind. Breakfast had lots of options. Given it just 6.5 euros per person for the breakfast, it was worth.
