Nothing really, plumbing a little noisy, in my room I could hear water hammer in the ceiling several times in the night.

The hotel was in a very nice location, surrounded by trees. Decor was nice and well maintained as was the room. I rang when I arrived and the owner met me a couple of minutes later. Enjoyed a beer on the terrace later and after speaking to another couple of people staying there it sounds like the food was very good too.

It was a bit tired/dated.

This was my third time here so I guess it works for me. We walk in this area so it suits from a location viewpoint. I think we were the only guests when we were there which is a bit of a weird experience😳However a big thanks to the lady who was managing the place for organising a lovely evening meal.

something that the hotel cannot do anything about! Mountain roads. the weekend we were there it was also the local festival and there was a diversion. the directions to get to the hotel were not good and we only got there because a local helped us by following him. However, once we got there it was great and the festival was brilliant. Very welcoming village

the staff were helpful and very friendly. location close to the village was a bonus. the food in the restaurant was exceptional and good value

The food in the restaurant wasn’t very good, too much salt and a bit dry for my taste. Maybe I choose wrong. I was very happy that the restaurant was open though!

Very clean room with crip sheets and a bathroom with shampoo and soap. The staff was very sweet, they even made me breakfast while the buffet wasn’t open. The garden is beautiful!

Amazing location, with lovely walks nearby. Its very clean, the staff were very accommodating especially since there weren’t many guests but they still went through all the effort of cooking whatever we wanted from the menu.

it seems that the mattress has a plastic cover that ‘crunched’ with every turn - a small issue. Also, breakfast wasn’t the best.

I may be nitpicking here, but after a long day of hikingin January, I was looking forward to a nice hot bath, but there was no bath plug, and I had to improvise.

Tranquil location near the main village with its bars, shops, and restaurants, perfect for some day hikes. Spacious and comfortable room. The staff was very kind and helpful.

The towels for the pool are at extra charge. Some slices of tomato will be nice for breakfast and fresh orange juice in season.

Not exactly the warmest of welcomes - the place had the grand total of three people during my two stay there yet when I showed up an hour early check-in was out of the question until the advertised 1pm. The food was very mediocre - the fish I ordered the first night came in a weak tomato sauce - the same sauce was found the next night when I ordered the meatballs. There were three other food options in the village - one seemed to serve only lager the other two only coffee so you really have no other option. Breakfasts are very basic - bread with jam, pate, yoghurt and fruit and the worst coffee I've ever had in Spain. If you are coming here by train please note the very limited service which stops here - three trains in each direction per day. Wifi adequate but weak.

Superb location with fine views across the valley and if you are coming from Algeciras or Malaga the sense of peace and fresh air is a joy. The hotel is a five minute walk from the train station. Clean ensuite rooms in a very atmospheric designed building - all thick walls with wooden beams. The area is superb for walking the two trails which go through the village.

Traditional impressive rustic Hotel in a very peaceful setting. The restaurant was impressive and served excellent food at a reasonable price. The staff, Anna is very friendly and runs a very efficient service for a hotel which deserves a lot more custom -it was end ofJanuary when I visited and it was very quiet.
