This was a great location for exploring Barcelona. You could walk to many sites and attractions and the subway system is extensive and inexpensive. The hostel was very clean and well run. There is no elevator so expect to climb at least two tall flights. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. I did find it a bit noisy at times. Sounds of doors closing and people talking echoed in the tile floored hallways.

As many others have mentioned, the walls here are very thin. You can hear just about everything. Also, the automatic light in the hallway kept going off and on randomly (not triggered by someone's presence.) I just blocked the door bottom gap with a blanket.

The location was excellent. There are hundreds of restaurants nearby and Ciutadella Park is also very close.

The noise is crazy. The window doesn't close properly so you hear all the noise from the street all night. After first night we got some earplugs and the experience was much better.

The stay was better than I thought it would be. Although super simple, the place is well equipped, the shared toilet wasn't a problem at all and the staff was very nice.

The location was very nice, the room was spacious, and by all means, it exceeded our expectations. Maybe I should elaborate on "expectations." The place was listed as a hostel, which is often understood as an establishment that provides inexpensive lodging for a specific group of people, such as students, workers, or travelers with shared facilities such as bathrooms. As an academic couple in their 50s, we wanted to try our chances during our short stay in Barcelona and wanted to be located at the heart of the city for a reasonable price. Dragonfly BCN was perfect. It exceeded our expectations for having the shower inside the room, for its cleanness (shared toilets, sheets, and towels), and for giving us a nostalgic experience of living in the Gothic Quarter. The time of the year (March) was convenient in terms of the weather, so we did not have any problems in terms of air conditioning and heating. Yes, the doors are not soundproof, but that is the price one pays for being in such a unique location.

Staff is exceptionally helpful. We arrived almost midnight and he was waiting for us. He tells us the facilities available in the room, reception and location of the toilets. They even had bathing robes! He allowed baggage storage and told us to be careful when we were outside. Feels like a family.

It would be better if there is a ceiling fan in the room because the weather was not very hot, we wouldn't have to open air conditioner.

The location is truly excellent. 5 minutes to Main Street and bus, metro station. The old street is crowded with tourists but safety and clean. The room is large with big balcony.

I would appreciate if the toilet would be in the room not in the hall. Wifi signal was kind of weak. There were noises from the street but not that bad.

Mainly I liked the host of the accomondation. He was very kind and helpful with everything. Also it is very good locality in center of Barcelona. You can get shortly almost everywhere from there. Then the room was clean, spacious and totally sufficient for my needs.

The building was old and there was a bit of mold in the room but this is something you probably have to accept if you go for the lowest price.

Air humidity in the room (impossible for clothes or towels to dry; my medication that I left out got soaked and sticky just from being exposed to the air). Very thin walls- at night it was loud, you can hear all the conversations from the rooms around and the neighbours were noisy, so you better get earplugs to be able to sleep. Beds were narrow, not so comfortable.

Great location, we were able to get everywhere on foot. The room and bathroom was quite clean (although the bathroom could use more toilet paper, an air freshener and a hairdryer). Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was AC-ed.
