Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaThe room is on the 4th floor of an old old building without an elevator. Climbing the stairs with luggage is horrible. The room furniture is old too, instead of buying a huge smart TV, they could invest that money to renew some things inside the room.. the person who received me doesn't speak English so that's also a small problem.
The bed is nice and comfortable. The location is perfect, extremely close to Gran Via metro station. I could leave my luggage after check out for a couple of hours

SingaporeThere’s few flights of stairs and it can be quite difficult for tourists who carry big luggage. The bathroom is relatively small, even for Asian girls like us with small build. We have to be mindful in turning and moving within it otherwise we might bang on it.
The location is quite convenient, easy access to metro, convenient store.

LithuaniaThe fourth floor without lft, 72 stairs till the door. Every day... Noice from the neighboring flats. On weekend - till 2 a.m (night). Even good double windows didn't help.
Very good location, couple minutes from metro. Easy to reach historical objects, a lot of restaurants and small shops around.

SpainThe room is small with no view, so would not be ideal for a longer stay. It is on the 4th floor, accessed via stairs only. This is clearly stated & I am physically fit, so not a problem for me, but perhaps avoid if you are elderly, unfit or have heavy luggage.
Spotlessly clean. Excellent location just off Gran Via. Air conditioning a real bonus.

GermanyThe rooms are quite noisy, both for the people outside (the area is full of bars) but also for the very thin walls (I could hear the TV from other rooms)
Great position, right in the center of Madrid. Communication was amazing. The staff is very friendly, they actually waited for me to arrive quite late in the night (my flight was delayed).

BulgariaThe room and the bed itself was very small... not really comfortable. Two pillow sizes provided, but one was too small and the other too big and hard. The bathroom was also tiny and difficult to shower. The room is at 4th floor in an old building without elevator and it requires a lot of effort to bring your stuff upstairs, especially if you bring 20+ kg. Despite the 4th floor, do not expect any silence - the street is busy during late hours and respectively very noisy, people yell and talk loudly and the room is not soundproof enough. If you plan to do a short stay and would like to benefit from the location - this is a reasonable choice. Otherwise I would look for other quiet place to stay.
The staff was so good to wait for us to check-in late (after 10pm) and was really helpful when needed, fixed a problem with internet very quickly and was in WatsApp always available. The location of the place is also fantastic, just in the heart of Madrid. A mini market and fast food available nearby till late hours.

PortugalVery small room, but that was expected by the photos.. Only on the first day, we saw the person in charge of the place, in the other days nothing, even to get toilet paper I have to ask, because in 4 days, they don't come to clean your room, change your bath towels or see if you need something. A lots of noise during the midnight, people talking, slamming doors... And the cleaning very poorly...
The location is the only good thing about this place.. But honestly, for the next time, we prefer to stay a little more far away that stay in this place.

The position is the best. You can literally walk to any point of interest, we have never took any metro or bus. But if you want, the metro station is outside the door, and the principal street is also there, full of restaurant and shopping places.

CanadaWhere to start...we were not able to contact anyone other than through email, we arrived early at the hotel and had to wait about 30 min to get the key to the air BnB, there is no lift as it is a very old building and the units are on the 4th floor however that is 71 steps up, rooms are very small, walls are thin and you can hear every conversation from other suites as well as the buildings beside, the shower did not drain and it took until the second day for some one to acknowledge this and fix it but it still drained poorly, you can't open the window as you smell the neighbours smoking, forgot to turn off the air conditioner and got an email warning if we did this again we would be charged an extra $25 euros, not a good place for anyone with mobility issues to stay
the location was great, easy to walk to the places we wanted to see
