Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The street to and from the property is very narrow and barely fits a medium sized car. Therefore damage to the car possible.
Parking at this property is well organized and plentiful. Close to a beach and a very good restaurant,, "Can Bonachi"

Few eating options in the surrounding area. Check in was rather slow and the room was quite small. One small microwave in the hall and we were not supposed to use the communal fridge except for medicine. More of a stop-over or used by pet owners rather than a particularly pleasant stay.
Convenient location with onsite parking and outdoor seating which was pleasant for breakfast and handy in the evening when we were staying in with the dog. Beach is a few minutes walk about and the town centre about 20 minutes. Represented good value for the two days with our pet.

The Bathroom was exceedingly small and knees touched the wall when sat on the loo, also had to limbo around the toilet to get in and out of the shower. We managed, but I think a less mobile individual would have struggled. I'm sure there are larger bathrooms available if needed.
Close to the supermarket for supplies. Table and chairs in a little garden for picnics. Nice and quiet.

I wish there was a refrigerator in the room. The alley leading to the hostal was quite narrow. However, even if you do not park in the private lot, it is easy to find free street parking on the main street without driving into the narrow alley.
It is easy to find, not far from the central city by driving. Plenty of grocery stores and restaurant choices nearby.

Street to the parking is sooooo narrow! House on the other side of the room has lots of outdoor lamps, so our room was as bright as day even with the curtains closed.

Noisy night trains at rear. Unfortunately no hot water in room in the evening or following morning. Staff off duty.

Trains can be heard very clearly during the night. Maybe depending a bit on the individual room's window location and on whether the window is open or closed
Very friendly staff. Protected and sheltered parking directly at the hotel. Close to old city center (1.3 km ca.)

Breakfast choice was limited, but reasonable quality. Very tight driveway for large vehicles (apparently there is another option, but we didn’t find it til it was too late). Room furnishings a little tired, but overall clean and tidy. Overall, not the best value for money stay, but it wouldn’t put us off returning.
Great location for the beach. Easy to find. Family room is two interconnected rooms. Comfy beds. On site free parking.

Safe beautiful hostel with own free parking and decent rooms. I forgot my mc jacket outside at night , it had all my cards and cash, the owner knocked my door and gave it to me.
