Next time I'll request a room that faces the interior. All over Madrid, recycling bins and garbage bins are emptied at 1-2 am. Loud!!

The owners were so welcoming, friendly, hospitable. The location was very good, a short walk (6-10 min) to museums, La Plaza Mayor, cafes, neighborhood eateries. The beds (a twin and a full) were comfortable. Plenty of hot water for a shower. They got my room ready early, even though they couldn't promise. I was grateful for that, I arrived to their hostal exhausted.

The holiday was very enjoyable time the hostel we stayed at was comfortable and was central to all amenities I would use it again.

The one thing that would have improved the room was a bedside lamp.

The lady who runs it was very friendly and helpful. The room was fairly basic but very clean and comfortable. The room was cleaned every day with clean towels etc. The location was great. Everything worked including the air conditioning.

It is good for 1 night stay. I didn't see any kitchen or something rest area. Just room at the center .

The hostel is located near Plaza Mayor, just 2 minutes walk.. check in very easy. POssibility to drop the luggage before and after check in and check out.

I have stayed in some pretty bad hotels in life, but none compare to the overall experience in this hotel. I had never experience such a horrendous level of racism. My partner (white man) went to the hostal a couple of minutes before me (I went to the supermarket across the road), he did the check-in (that was in my name) and told them I was on my way. When I arrived, I rang the the intercom, no one opened for me, random person that was leaving let me in. This hostal does not have any signs in the building, so I ended up at the door of a different business, where someone pointed out where I should go. At the hostal door, I rang the doorbell politely for about 5 min and no one opened the door (but I could hear there were people inside). I sat at the stairs and texted my partner who was inside the room, he confirmed I was in the right floor and he was getting dressed to come outside. So, I persisted in knocking on the door and I could hear the voices and steps inside, near the door. After a long time knocking, a man and a woman opened the door and shouted at me: "we do not have space for you" (it is important to highlight that they shouted at me before I could say anything). To what they followed shouting at me: "why are you knocking on the door?" "go away". At that point, my partner came and saw how badly they were treating me and told them "she is my partner". Immediately, both of them started apologising and the man said "I saw you on the camera, but I didn't know you were his partner". I realised that, despite having been informed that I was on my way and seeing me on the camera, the hostal owners refused to open the door because they didn't think it could be me and were deliberately refusing to open the door. They made a conscious decision to NOT open based on what they saw through the camera (aka my face and skin colour) and the mistreatment I received was because of how I look.

The location was superb, easy access on foot to all sight-seeing places. The room was modern, well maintained and clean. Oscar and his wife were amazing hosts and went out of their way to help us :)

No wardrobes for guests! Small room, small double bed. Very noisy street all night, it is not possible to sleep with opened window.

Everything in Madrid very close by walk. Close to metro station, good location. There is refrigerator and microwave available for guests. Cleaning service every day, kind owner.
