Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Most of the meals in the restaurant menu were not available. Receptuon peronel doesn’t speak english at all. At lease some basics would be appreciated.
Very clean, spacious and comfortable room. Good location.

A bit tired and in need of some TLC. Not helped by being out of season and also being a pretty miserable(ie. wet!) winter’s day.
Location in centre of old town quite good. Attached restaurant an advantage.

Location was excellent in the centre of Arévalo. The dinner was outstandingly good with local specialities ! The Posada was nice, old-fashioned and quirky, but really interestingly furnished. Enjoyed our stay and were able to sit outside for our dinner opposite a lovely church.

Prefer different door to toilet. Not private enough.
Style and lay out of hotel. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Strong & large shower area. Mini fridge. Lift. Location, central square of small old town. Surrounded by bars, restaurants. Suckling pig is traditional dish. Free parking in square and side streets. Just drive around Didn’t go to new part of town. Flat walking distance to all. Good tapas in bar. We didn’t eat in restaurant but was popular. Beside Church. Bells finish before midnight so no problem.

Room was worn and a bit dusty. Beds were old soft and not very comfortable. Staffing was meager and split between the hotel and the restaurant. They seemed harried and as a result interactions with guests were perfunctory and flat.
Very centrally located. Excellent restaurant. large clean bathroom.

The hotel is on a corner and there is nowhere to unload/ check in so blocking the road and upsetting the locals was the only option until the person who took up the ONLY unload space outside the hotel, some local I presume, decided to go. So beware. The garage parking is fine, tho with lots of concrete pillars it took some time to squeeze into the tiny space. The worst thing was that like many Spanish hotels, the restaurant didn't open until 8.30pm and they had no room service so wishing to avoid late night eating meant a ration of Tortilla Espanola and a tuna roll. There was nothing in the town eating wise... everything looked closed on a Tuesday night.
The building was nice, very classy looking and the room was both spacious and well maintained with a very modern and recently furbished bathroom. Everything worked, wifi good and thankfully the church bells next door didn't ring at night.

The breakfast was good. But n fact we had the breakfast from the bar with excellent orange juice, coffee and croissant. The room was a bit cramped, as was the en-suite. But ours was one of the cheaper rooms. The best things were the food - really excellent and very good value, the staff, very helpful and pleasant, and the building, very historical, nicely adapted, interesting. Also it’s on a large square where there is plenty of parking and other bars and restaurants.

Wifi speed could have been a bit better.
Great room, nice shower, great location, friendly staff. well worth the visit. One of my colleagues who also stayed in the same place mention that "this room brought out her inner princess and it was fabulous- four poster bed and all".
