The apartment is quite a walk away from the reception where you pick up the keys and we didn’t know this so let the taxi go. We had a problem with ants in the bath room running around in the bath , walls and floor and then the wardrobe floor when I told reception they just said ‘sorry’ …. Luckily I had some inspect repellant that I was able to spray the areas the clean up the dead ones

I don’t mind cleaning up but when I have to clean the kitchen yet nothing available to do so. Nothing to dry up the crockery and no paper towels.

Suites our needs. We had a good stay. The surrounding facilities were good. Apartment comfortable and quiet. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

A maintenance man turned up the first evening (I had no prior knowledge of this - I should have been notified) to repair a flickering light in the bathroom, which I had not noticed. But in the apartment, the main bedroom light was NOT working at all and the hot water failed! No water pressure in the hot taps throughout the apartment. Both these problems were almost certainly there, before I even arrived at the apartment and should have been dealt with accordingly. Very poor. Could not have a bath or a shower! An alternative apartment was provided for this purpose but that's not the point, really. Barely an apology from Mar Menor, which is very poor customer service. Not for the first time, a poor response to a problem at this resort.

This is my 4th visit over Christmas and it has all I need to enjoy my time. This year I met with a very friendly and helpful male person on reception and picking up my keys took just a matter of minutes. So different from past experiences. This is purely down to personnel on duty, but should be same, no matter who is on reception.

The photos and what you are actually booking need to be changed/made clearer. The bathroom and bedroom images were completely different to the actual thing. Was disappointing. The rest mentioned in my main review 👍🏼

I’ll start by saying when we first walked in the apartment was awful despite there being such a grand entrance. Marks on every wall and floor, rusty washing machine, pictures not matching in person. Sofa ripped,Stains on lampshade and mould in toilet, toilet seat loose.. I could go on. Had to even show reception photos I took as they didn’t seem convinced on what I was saying. HOWEVER - they then offered to give us another apartment. Walked in and it was much better, fresh and comfortable. Such a shame about the first apartment I think we were incredibly unlucky. Overall a good stay, maybe worth thinking that it is a golf resort really and you are within a complex with nothing walking distance outside of it. Only shop onsite is a Spar which is on the expensive side. We were there for 2 nights and that was enough for us.

The electricity tripped every time I tried to boil the kettle for a tea! I therefore did not have one. As we were only there for two nights it was no biggy but if we were staying for longer that would have been a nightmare! I did not like the leather sofa as it was too hot to sit on it without getting sticky. The TV did not have any English channels. Again would not usually be an issue but my partner was unwell and had to stay in the two days. A smart TV would have been better (which is what we usually find is supplied in properties nowadays) we could not have a late check out time either which was disappointing but expected during the height of summer. We were able to use the pool however there were no shower facilities if we did so we went back to our old property before our flight home to use the pool and shower etc. There was not a lot of choice of food on the children’s menu. Both the hotels restaurant and bar had the same menu (which you could use as a guest) I asked for a smaller portion of pasta from the adults menu however they said we could but it would cost the same. I don’t understand why… smaller bowl… not so much food… not so much cost right?!

The area was well maintained. The pool was clean but COULD have been cleaner in my opinion. We stayed here for two nights having already spent two weeks in another location in Spain. The property was spacious. We could use the restaurants in the neighbouring hotel. The complex felt safe and generally clean. The beds were firm but comfy enough. The view from our property (overlooking the pool) was really nice!

Pádel was available to book but would have been nice if there was sports like football arranged for children/teenagers.

A very calm resort lovely views from the apartment. Communal pool very nice and not crowded. Plenty of options for restaurants nearby. I particularly liked how dog friendly it was.

No sunloungers and the area of the terrace was overgrown and needed maintenance. The garbage in the street was overflowing for 2 days.

Great location with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and good aircon. Nice terrace area overlooking golf course.

Could do with hairdryers in the rooms. More knives as only had one sharp one for a self catering apartment.

Wi-Fi was poor. Constantly freezing/lagging and was infuriating. Have to improve this as really not good enough. We also had a local resident who her saw job as 24/7 pool Superintendent. Constantly pointing to signs and interfering with other guests enjoyment of the pool facility. She called security if people weren’t wearing wristbands or kids were playing with balls in the pool. Way over the top. She would have been better employed lobbying for more sun beds and sun umbrellas as not enough of these to be fair.

Facilities were really good. The Leisure club was excellent for food and drink. Very reasonable prices as well. Overall very nice place to stay.
