Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomForget the picture of the villa because the reality is totally different - so different in fact that it took me ages to find the place when I arrived at midnight after a delayed flight. Three villas have been built close to this villa and a fourth is currently being built, hemming it in on three sides. The garden is much reduced in size as a consequence. There was also a racket going on every day except the weekend from the building work next door. Not what I expected and not what I thought I was paying 5000 euros for, so I am not impressed. Furthermore the garden is full of small agile, aggressive mosquitoes that attack as soon as you sit outside even in broad daylight. The villa would be full of them unless extreme care is taken to close the back door immediately after it is opened. We kept all windows shut at all times. As a consequence we needed the air conditioning to work but it barely functions. Some units don't work at all and the ones that do provide a pathetic amount off cool air. The blurb stated that there was satellite TV but in fact there is none, as no satellite boxes are in the house, despite a dish being present outside . That was a shame because the local TV is dire. The kitchen could be better equipped too. The oven has all the dial options erased so it is pure guesswork but no matter what option we selected and where we turned the temperature dial to it was always very hot and burned things quickly. No tea towels are provided and no chopping board and the chopping knives were blunt and next to useless. Given the price of the place l was not impressed to find on arrival, at midnight, a sign on the wall saying that the tap water is not fit for human consumption and upon opening the fridge discovering that it was empty. How about providing a bottle or two of mineral water?! We had nothing to drink that night or in the morning until trekking into town to the nearest supermarket (about twenty minutes away).
The villa itself is nice and in a secluded area on the outskirts of old Alcudia. It is near the sea which is good for evening strolls and snorkeling as there are plenty of fish to see. The villa pool is also very good.

United KingdomThere is no front gate (use to be) and the sides of the villa are also open so for security and a small child it was not ideal. The double bed in the room on the lefthand side upstairs very noisy, turning over in the night or even getting in and out of bed woke us up. Facilitates wise the property needs simple things like a chopping board, new knifes (so blunt) and a jug so we could make sangria would have been nice (when we had BBQ’s these little touches would have been great). The property is situated about a 20 minute walk into Alcudia old town with loads of restaurants and cafes/shops and supermarkets. The nearest white sandy beach with sun beds and shade is Port Alcudia which a 5 minute bus journey from Alcudia old town. A car would be recommended. The nearest pub is an English pub (red rum) brilliant location in a beautiful cove with a really small sandy beach, pub grub - nothing wow but the setting makes up for it! About a 3 min walk from the villa but other than that the villa is in a residential area and no other pubs/bars/restaurants until the old town (which is absolutely stunning) Beautiful for a quite stay and if you don’t mind walking. Taxi services were really hit and miss and if you needed a car seat well that just near enough impossible! As for the previous review re work being done to the villa next door - we had a small amount of noise but nothing to complain about and the work is almost finished.
Spotlessly clean, nice and quite setting, not over looked. Great air-con - it was needed!!! The pool was lovely as was the villa itself. Really spacious. Beds really comfy and good communication from the property manager/owner when we reported a problem - replied immediately and came the next day. Would definitely stay again! Fabulous 2 week stay in a wonderful villa
