You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

LatviaFull parking, no place for car (some party was there). Super soft beds, for me too soft. Pool was nice but so cold water, we didn’t manage to go in :) and even Hot tub was cold. Very small choice of breakfast! Hotel needs renovation!
Place was nice, beautiful area. And welcome with dogs, (but mobile internet didn’t work due to network weakness).

FinlandThe worst hotel I have ever booked! The hotel manager is a total liar! I need to warn those who are going to book it! I booked two rooms for my family more than a month in advance, in the morning of our arrival day the hotel sent us two welcoming messages, via email and text message, with instructions on how to get the room keys (surprisingly no one is on duty that day) - first need to press some code to access the hotel building, then again some code to open a locker (where they promised to keep keys to my rooms), but after all these done, I found the locker totally empty. Then I called the two numbers given on the locker, first guy answered saying he didn't know anything about it and asked me to wait, then I called another number, no one answered. Then a lady of the hotel called me back, confused and didn't know anything about it. Then after a while I received another call from a local Finnish number 0414918028, he was the hotel manager and told me that I already checked in the previous day and his staff saw me?!! After I questioned it, he asked me my full name, then he said 'Oh yes, you have cancelled your reservation last night'. I was totally confused and after I denied the cancellation, he told that it's Booking.com who cancelled my reservation, I questioned him how could that happen, because Booking.com is not authorized by me to cancel my reservation, and even that's done I'm supposed to receive the notification right away with a valid and legal reason! Then I asked him for evidence of the cancelled, the hotel manager said no one is working there that day, so they couldn't show any evidence. Then I called Booking.com and they confirmed my reservation was active and all fine. The hotel manager was a total liar with ethical issues! They were simply being lazy to bring me the keys because of their own mistakes but didn't have the courage to admit it at all!

United KingdomI asked for a double bed, received an email that they could provide one, and instead on arrival was given a room with 4 single beds, and each a different height so that even when we tried to make do and push two together to make a bed we could both sleep on, it created more problems because of the difference in heights that meant we were sleeping on a slope! Not only that, but the beds appeared to be on skates, because we'd wake up in the middle of the night and find that one of us had fallen into a big gap that had opened up between the two beds! AND we only had single duvet covers, so we spent a lot of time fighting to keep ourselves covered up and eventually had to admit defeat and retreat to our own very narrow single beds. It made for VERY uncomfortable nights of sleep and somewhat flushed our idea of cuddling up at night on a romantic weekend in Finland down the drain! Yep, awful sleep arrangements and a cold room where you cannot control the temperature will do that! Breakfast was plentiful - a lot of variety, but the quality is not good. Orange juice was watered down and tasted like it was medicine, scrambled eggs tasted like what I imagine astronauts food is like etc etc. Ended up sticking with just bread, boiled eggs and yoghurt with lingonberries.
The best thing about the room was a pretty decent lake view, and a shower that was hot and had good water pressure - which was very much needed to combat the cool temperature of the room when it was pretty cold out - 5 degrees! Brrrrr!
