It wasn’t easy to access as first time visitors with a renal car bc of Old Town location and availability of parking, and especially bc I was getting sick and was traveling with my mom, it would have been downright brutal IF Marinos hadn’t bent over backwards to help us in both arrival and departure. Even so, still those were the most stressful parts of our trip to Greece. Dont recommend if you are driving yourself and are looking for a place to get in and out of quickly and to be self sufficient doing so.

It was great! Tasteful and spacious and the view was gorgeous. It was very quiet considering the sounds from the restaurant below but I could still hear them; I was fine with earplugs. Very very comfortable beds. Totally clean and well stocked. Great shower too. Plenty of help available for any reason, 100% kind and responsive management.

Nothing that can be changed. The balcony was difficult to get to and there were many difficult stairs. Shower was strange and the water did not get very hot. Poor lighting in the apartment and by the beds.

Living room was very dim, photos are a little deceptive and beach is actually quite far away, 3 rows of giant umbrellas were set up below the balconies for bars/restaurants which were pretty noisy. "free municipal parking close to the hotel" was a 10 minute walk away and pretty full in the winter, probably not viable in the summer.

Great location, easy access to shops and restaurants, great shower and comfy bed.

This is a perfect place to stay. Quiet, despite being in the very heart of one of the main streets of the old town, steps from the waterfront, shops, restaurants, the main square, etc. The interiors are restful and elegant and the beds extremely comfortable. Would certainly stay again for an extended stay. Just lovely.

I always like to leave a bit of constructive criticism. The only thing I thought it was missing was more room for clothes for people who don't travel light. :) I think an extra dresser and some extra hooks by the door would make the place even better.

This place is truly very nice! Location, location, location. The apartment is situated right in the heart of old town Rethymno, minutes away from beautiful restaurants, artisan shops, coffee shops, the beach, museums and architectural sites. Marinos is the BEST host. Very accommodating and the communication with him was flawless. I highly recommend this place as a home base when one travels to Crete. It is not too far from Heraklion and Chania if anyone chooses to do some day trips.

Location was absolutely perfect. The fortress, narrow atmospheric streets of old town, the beach - everything was close by and only a short walking distance away. Communication with Marinos was excellent and he was very hospitable and helpful. The apartment was spacious and clean + the high ceilings and the roof terrace created a luxorius yet cosy feel to the flat.
