Music/noise from the bar area, which was directly below our room until midnight. The washroom could have been in better shape.

Excellent customer service. Mary was exceptional. She went above and beyond to ensure our son, who has a nut allergy, was properly accommodated. Thank you so much! It was greatly appreciated!

The rooms are basic, bathrooms are very small and in need of little tlc (although we did arrive at the end of the season, so i'm sure these will be spruced up during closed period)

La Stella is a no fuss accommodation, what you see on Booking.com is exactly what you get. The team however are exceptional, they cannot do enough for their guests. It's a 5 minute walk from local restaurants and coveniently situated next door to a supermarket for all your needs.

Little details like a bath access panel being open which was releasing smell from the pipes or minor cobwebs here and there. Not a big deal though.

Great atmosphere, staff very accommodating and happy to help, very modern, lovely scent in the reception and bar area. Breakfast fresh and tasty. Overall great experience.

The shower didn't have walls which is very dangerous with the baby. Also our friend booked the same room and got double the size room for 1 person and our room was small with the baby and baby cot in it

The interior was very nice, everything was clean and smelled nice, cleaning every day. Beds and pillows very comfortable.

Parking was on the roadside. The suite we had really wasn't very clean, even for normal standards let alone new guidance on cleanliness around Covid. It could have done with a really deep clean and it really was not up to the standard of the other services at this lovely little hotel.

The host was extremely friendly and helpful and a lot of fun, from helping us with our luggage to a taste of home made Raki! He also provided great recommendations on restaurants in the town. The suites themselves were spacious and well appointed. The beds were super comfortable. Didn't get to use the pool as it poured with rain during our stay but it looked lovely and the hotel bar which was very well set up and furnished, got a fair amount of use.

Cleanness or better to say dirtiness is terrible. They were cleaning room every day and you don’t see difference before and after cleaning Only last day they cleaned it properly

Literally the only things which we would have liked is there was no sponges/cloths for washing up in the sink in the apartment if you needed to wash up after cooking with the pots and pans provided. Also could do with a tea towel to use in the kitchen area, but that is it. Everything else was brilliant.

The hotel staff (especially Mairi) were absolutely amazing, the pool at the hotel and overall presentation was wonderful. The hotel was very clean and tidy as well. Breakfast in the morning was good - it had lots of choice from full cooked breakfast options to yoghurt & fruit, coffee, juices etc.... We had a very good time in Crete and fell in love with the place and had a great stay here. Thanks so much to everyone at the hotel from Little One (Melissa) and Mr Williams xxxx

The room was much smaller than the photos on the website and the kitchen facilities in the room are very basic. The male member of staff who was there in the afternoons was very rude and made unprofessional comments. The breakfast had little variety and even though it finished at 10.30 they stopped bringing out food around 9.45am

The female staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful.

I had a very bad experience unfortunately. I was given a room I didn’t book that wasn’t to the standard I wanted or had paid for. I got locked in the bathroom for 45 minutes and had to scream for help late at night. the barman came and did let me out but I was very upset to hear the same thing had happened to someone in my room the night before. I asked to change rooms in the morning and was told there were none available however when I showed them on booking.com I could have booked at least 7 rooms that morning they obviously had to admit there were rooms free. after a negotiation I got a different room but I was understandably annoyed. the staff are lovely, and doing their best but it’s poor service. I regret booking this hotel as they just treated me so badly from the start. the initial room I was given was nothing like what I booked and paid for and they didn’t tell me the bathroom lock was broken so I inevitably got locked in. just terrible what would have happened late at night with no hotel staff to help? I was so disappointed to also be lied to about no rooms available when I showed them on booking. com I could have booked and paid for 7 choices of room that exact day. very very poor treatment

the property is in a good location just a short walk to the beach and restaurants and the staff are lovely

Horrible stay. VERY NOISY !! the hotel is in front of two major roads and it never stops. Cleanliness is so so. Breakfast is disgusting (industrial food bought at the nearby Lidl ??) Shower is tiny. I had to ask for hot water in my room and was laughed at by the manager who had decided that the water was hot enough (it was barely warm). 140 euros per night for this place is a scam!

Rooms were lovely and staff really friendly. Especially Babis!! We also had a good breakfast included! Amazing trip and would definitely go back!
