Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalExcellent Location, on the beach and within a short drive to the wonderful town of Rethymno. Friendly and attentive staff, go that extra mile. Rooms we had were very spacious, adjoining , with a balcony overlooking the sea, just as we requested. A huge choice of food at Breakfast and never overcrowded. Plenty of amenities, gym, bars (great cocktails on the beach), spa, shop ect Overall a great stay and certainly would like to return for sure. Word of warning get your beach shoes, The sand is somewhat coarse and hot, and the sea area a little rocky, Buying these shoes, after toughing it out the first couple of days without them, made a whole lot of difference to the beach experience, believe me.

GreeceWhat I didn't like was that the soda and juice served tasted very bad. It was ready soda in machines and not in regular cocoa cola bottles. It tasted very much of chemicals. The only place that served good soft drinks was inside the Main restaurant.
What I liked about the accommodation was that the staff were very nice and had fast service in the restaurant. There was both a pool and close to the sea and it was a very nice and lovely environment.

ArmeniaWe only experienced a few minor cons. Our primary concern was this weird policy with the drinks in the cafeteria/main eating area. There was a major priority given to all-inclusive guests versus half-board guests which was quite strange. In a buffet-style space, there were drink dispensers along with coffee and tea set out, but if you weren’t an all-inclusive guest you had to pay for said drinks like water, coffee, and tea. Technically, you could blend right in and go grab the drinks because no one was really keeping track most of the time (we didn’t find this out until our last day there!) For example, water was free during breakfast but paid during dinner — overall an unnecessary mishap regarding a very small matter. We think they just need to make those basic drinks free for all and only limit free alcohol to all-inclusive guests. And lastly, on the peak days of the hotel, guests were reserving sunbeds as early as 7 in the morning with their towels and they kept them there all day. So if you wanted to go to the pool at around noon or so, you’d have to settle for any sunbed that was left in the back. There usually never was a free sunbed by the beach either until sunset. It would be great if the hotel could find a way to regulate this or assign sunbeds to each room.
Rethymno Palace quickly started feeling like a second home to us during our 11-day stay. It’s only a 10-minute taxi ride to Rethymno Old Town and there’s a bus stop about a block away from the hotel. The street the hotel is on is bustling with souvenir shops, cafes, and small grocery stores, which means you can find anything you need nearby without travelling far from the hotel. All of the staff members in the hotel and restaurant were very welcoming, helpful, and cheerful (not a frown or bitter look in sight). Everything that you see in the images is precisely what you get. Housecleaning visited our room every other day and the hotel in general was always sparkling (never dust or dirt in sight). We also appreciated the round-the-clock security on the premises, although it was a shame that pool and beach access were prohibited after dark. There was a new dinner theme/cuisine every day which meant there was a constant variety of delicious food (for example, they had seafood night, Asian night, greek food night…etc). On the other hand, the breakfast spread was pretty much the same every day. Despite that, everything was mouthwatering and there still was variety. Access to a private beachfront along with the beach bar was the selling point of the hotel. It’s certainly an amenity that not all hotels offer since you can go from your hotel room to the beach in minutes without paying an entrance fee every time. Overall, we had a pleasant vacation and experience and would recommend anyone to stay there since it was a lovely getaway.

Slovakiavery rude management in the restaurant, especially the lady manager who looks miserable, never smile, is rude everyday to the guests who are going for a buffet (not a michelin star restaurant) and I quote “doesn’t remember our faces because she sees hundreds of people everyday” while we were here for 9 nights already. Management in hospitality, especially for so called 5 stars should actually be about the guests. all inclusive spirits very cheap and poor quality cocktails so sweet that impossible to drink sunbeds already reserved in very early morning, don’t even try to find the sunbed free at 8am
good location not too far from the city if you want to go one evening nice view from balcony (sea view room) large and nice swimming pool nice beach bar nice lobby bar little bit stony beach but nice, enjoyed the waves friendly and welcoming bar staff

DenmarkHard to ventilate the bathroom after taking a shower. Something about the material of the beds made the nights very hot.
Very nice location right on the beach. Loungebar with oceanview were nice and calm. You could find peace and quiet in the evening if you wanted, except for friday night where there were a disco-party at the loungebar. Nice and varied local food in the buffet restaurant.

SwitzerlandWas an all inclusive resort, so food options were buffet and limited. All pool loungers were “reserved” with towels very early and no one using them. Shouldn’t be allowed.
Great facilities, large room with sea facing balcony.

United KingdomThe one thing that could be improved is the set up of the double bed. It was actually 2 twin beds pushed together and when you moved closer to the centre they would separate as they were not secured in any way and they were also made up separately not with double bed bedding. The pillows were also a bit hard for my taste.
The hotel was very good all round, well decorated and thought out and spotless. Staff from reception to waiters, cleaners, bar staff, Spa, pool area and restaurant were excellent. A good selection of foods were available at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bedroom was a good size, we booked a double room with sea view, although the sea views are side on in the majority of cases. The bathroom was a generous size and well done out. Towels were changed daily when the room was cleaned along with a large bottle of water provided in the room every day. Tea and coffee making facilities were also available. It was peaceful and quiet but the beach bar was a bit livelier if you wanted more life. The cocktail bar, run by Marco, was also very nice with a good selection of drinks, although not all were included in the all inclusive package, which I think is normally the case anyway.

GermanyWe ordered a double room and the bed was not double but with two separate single beds put together. It was very uncomfortable to sleep becouse there would be always a space between beds while sleeping. Also at the firs day the bed sheets were not clean and sometimes the plates at the buffet were dirty. We had an allinclusive booking but the alcoohl that the served for all inclusive clients was very very cheap.
The Resort had a lot to offer, Spa, Pool, beach bar and lounge bar were all perfect.Location was very good, only a few minutes away from Rethymno. The staff was amazing and very polite. They spoke a variety of languages and were very educated. We had to check out at 3 Am and they still offered us breakfast. They puted every day a bottle of water for free to our room and we had a compimentary welcome bottle of wine and a 15 minute free SPA treatment.

United KingdomFood was good although a bit repetitive. Also felt very rushed in the restaurant as your plate was being taken as you put your knife and fork down! Other than a couple of the waiting staff they were on the whole quite miserable and unfriendly. same in the bar areas other than the English girl who worked at the beach bar who was lovely.

BulgariaThe beach wasn’t sandy but that was fine because the pool was very nice and going in the sea was fine with aqua shoes. The cleaning service was not perfect because the staff reached our room at 5pm and we were resting at that time and we already took a shower with the old towels. The problem was ghat we asked at the reception that they started cleaning our rooms earlier in the day, and the receptionists gave those instructions to the cleaning staff but they did not bother to follow them. But this was not too big of a problem and everything was otherwise perfect!
It was beautiful, very new and comfortable. Pool was great. The location was great also because it was close to very delicious tavernas and nice bars and it was 20 minutes by car from Rethymno, which is a great place to visit.

Moldova1. The food it is bad. The same dood day by day. Drinks are very poor quality. Theatitude of stuff in the main restaurant was bad , we paid for HB and we felt awful like something is wrong with us and we don’t deserve same respect like others. We observed that cooks in the kitchen are chewing gum and make baloons on top of food. There are line of people waiting for food! It is unacceptable. 2. Room: very uncomfortable bad, it is double bed, cannot sleep at all , also the bed sheets are horrible, there is a smell persistent in the room and in hotel, a smell from sewage. In the check out day we found a huge bug in our room!!!!! It is saying enough about how clean is this hotel. 3. Cleaning in the hotel it is poor. Both pools, for adults and children are very dirty! 4. Beach it is also dirty, full of cigarettes filter and the entrance in the sea its difficult because it is about 15 m of rock plates. it is only one shower for the whole beach and again people waiting in lines. I didn’t see at all the safeguard!!! It is unacceptable when you have such risks in the sea like rocks! Access to the sea it is impossible without special footwear. 5. The hotel does not deal with the big number of people. Kindly ask the administration to take in account our comments and improve their services quality! We can make the difference because we were staying in 3 hotels during this period, and it was the worst one.

The room was cosy and the hotel as well, more like a boutique hotel. Food was ok. I disliked the fact that there were absolutely no drinks free of charge available during lunch and dinner for half board bookings. And even if you ordered any, they weere extremly poor quality. The beach is in front of the hotel but small and with rocks. You as an adult, cannot swim nearshore but it was ok for babies to go inside, since a huge rock forms like a barrier nearshore and it is not deeper that the knees. Overall experience was ok and good location for travelling and having mobility to travel from location.
