Just Birnie’s Accommodation Guide - this beautiful place is a 15min drive from Chania Airport. The location is perfect, close to amazing beaches and walks. The apartment is excellent with everything you need for a perfect stay, including beach/pool towels. Everywhere is spotless, the garden immaculate and the apartment super clean everywhere. 1min walk to a coffee shop and tavernas a little drive away. You are also only a 30min drive the Chania itself. Everything is perfect here and the owners wonderful.

The hosts were amazing. We were getting in very late to Chania via ferry from Gythio. It didn't arrive until midnight then we had to drive for about 45 mins or so to this villa. The hosts were there. Left the door unlocked for us and lights were on to welcome us. They even left us little gifts; candies, wine, oil, etc. Our unit was perfect for our needs. We were 2 couples. This was a 2 bedroom, one bath unit on the lower level Just know that on the lower level there are still a few stairs for anyone with mobility issues. The pool was wonderful. and clean. Chairs, tables and umbrellas for everyone. There was a little laundry room on site (you need your own laundry soap) and a clothes line umbrella on your deck for drying. Huge deck area to watch the sunset, have a glass of wine or play games. The owner even took my husband to his dentist for a dental emergency. He was amazing. We met lots of nice folks here who told us which beaches & restaurants to visit. It was lovely. There was even a coffee shop on the corner of the drive in. There was a restuarant, gas station, grocery store all within 5 min drive. We would go back in a minute. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Extremely firm mattress Air conditioning not adequate for size of apartment/ not turned on before our arrival to cool apartment

We stayed for one night before heading out to an early flight out of Chania airport. It’s close to the airport. Beautiful location. Close to a beach and a few restaurants. Gardens are stunning. Family apartment was quite spacious and very clean. Thoughtful property owners left us water, Coke and Raki. Great amenities including a fully stocked kitchen and washer. Beautiful sunset views from balcony. Pool looked fun but did not have time to use. The only two things that could have made the stay more comfortable would be a more comfortable mattress as this one was extremely firm, and better air conditioning as Crete was in a heat wave and the apartment was so hot on arrival and never cooled down adequately for comfort before we departed.

Beds are a little hard for my liking but that is all. Would have preferred an upper room (we had the first room in the first building of the complex, Aleka 103) for the sunset but just being in Crete on Akrotiri again for the first time in 8 years thrilled me!

Michalis (Mike) was very welcoming when we arrived and was very proud to show us to our room and with good reason as their property is beautiful and well maintained and it shows. Our apartment was well equipped, could have stayed a lot longer than one night. We had the pool to ourselves, loved the views and Taverna Irene (we drove, just that little bit too far to walk in the heat) is worth going to - also very nice and attentive people there as well as delicious Cretan dishes.

Nice welcome with sweets, coke and raki in the room. Everything worked. Big, clean pool. Ten minute walk to Kalathas beach (although you do have to walk along the road part of the way - take care).

The rooms are small, the big bed made the room a bit crowded. Not a big problem all in all.

The view is wonderful, the pool nice, kitchen well-equipped. We stayed one night before our flight, so we didn't use the kitchen except for making coffee. It is 8 minutes away from the airport.

Michalis and his wife were great hosts. The place was very clean and right next to the beach and close to town. Pool was excellent and cleaned every day. Amazing views from the balcony.

We stayed at Villas Michails for one night, ahead of a very early morning flight from Chania airport. The accommodation was more than we expected, and it was lovely! we actually wished we stayed longer.

There was nothing to dislike. I have no hesitation in recommending the Villa Michelin to anyone who is visiting Chania and the rest of Crete. The perfect jumping off spot for exploring the wonderful island of Crete.

We only stayed at the Villa Michalis for one night because it was close to the airport. But, now that we have found this wonderful hotel, we will return and for longer. Wonderful hosts. Excellent location. A hidden gem of a place.

There was no shower curtain. If you left the window open at night you had a curtain on your face. There were fighter jets flying overhead (fortunately not at night).

Beautiful garden. Very clean room. Good localisation (near the airport). Plenty of kitchen equipment to prepare breakfast. Owner helped us to order taxi to the airport (we had to leave at 5am). Shaded parking.
