Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI honestly cannot fault this property at all. Just like everywhere close to the old town there is a lack of parking. You might get lucky on the street below but it is very tight. We parked at Grand Parking in the business district at €20 per day/€3 per hour for a part day & got an uber to the accommodation which was about €7.50
The room was immaculately clean & the property very well cared for and renovated to a high standard, especially the bathroom, which would not look out of place in a nice hotel. The shower was excellent. The host is amazing, so friendly & welcoming, we had a good chat about our plans & she gave us some really good tips that saved us a lot of money on doing things that weren't worth the expense. Yes there are a lot of steps up to the property but the view from the balcony more than makes up for the climb, absolutely stunning. As I am unable to do all the steps from the old town we got an uber from the old town to the street below the guesthouse, making the amount of steps more manageable & it was only €5.50 so worth it to save your legs. However you can't expect to visit Dubrovnik without encountering a lot of steps so be prepared. I would highly recommend this accommodation & would not hesitate to book again.

United KingdomThe bathroom didn't have a window, so it was hard to air it out. Given that the shower was very small, we always got floors wet, and the one mat we were given was soaked. I think it would be good if they changed the towels daily and the mat in the bathroom as well.
The location was perfect as it's in old town. The price was very reasonable as well. The views are spectacular from the terrace and we really enjoyed that. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave us tips for restaurants and getting around to the main sights.

MalaysiaA little too much stair steps but there's a few tricks to skip it. Good exercise though. The awesome view from the balcony negates this 'con'. It's totally worth it.
BREATHTAKING VIEW!! It's a very simple but squeaky clean, comfy and well-equipped room with attached toilet. You have a nice little fridge for your drinks and beer. Zrinka is super friendly, warm and super helpful!

EstoniaOur room and large balcony had an amazing view of Dubrovnik Old Town all day (especially sunrise and sunset). Our room had a private corner balcony, so we could sit outside, away from other guests' windows. At the same time, there was shade over our window, so the bedroom didn't get too warm during the sunny days. It was far enough from Old Town so it was quiet in the evening, but close enough that we were able to walk to Old Town by just going down some stairs. The owner was really friendly and helpful - she told us some good tips for our stay (e.g. what was the best time to visit some sights) and answered any questions we had.

JapanThe only thing that I'd like to mention, which is not a big matter, is that the private balcony of our room was in-between two buildings and because of that we couldn't see sunset and sunrise from there.
The view from the balcony was amazing and it was worth climbing up (and down) all the stairs. We could avoid 30% of stairs if you choose some round ways with slopes. The room was clean and the host was really friendly. The host even provided extra towels for beach. We really appreciated the AC working perfectly as well.
