Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No Safe which is really a requirement these days and very small sign on entrance which made it a little difficult to locate.
Excellent location , the owner was very helpful and explained everything in detail , good facilities for breakfast. Very flexible checking out time which we much appreciated.

Great location. Good size room for 2 of us and suitcases. Comfortable bed. Clean and spacious bathroom. Easy access to beach towels and iron when needed. Separate communal kitchenette if you wanted to cook but we didn’t use it. Super convenient, loved our stay here and will be booking again when we’re back in Split!

Our room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent with several restaurants to choose from right outside the front door. For anyone needing to do laundry there is a full service laundry also just yards away. In close proximity to the palace but without the crowds. Highly recommend.

Great location only about a minute from the waterfront walking. Staff could not have been nicer. Our flight was cancelled and rebooked so we ended up coming in around midnight to split but they accommodated us and let us in. We were also able to store bags until we left to take the ferry to Korcula later the next day. The room was very clean, nice and very comfy bed. Would recommend to anyone!

Air conditioning was quite noisy and only one pillow each on the bed.
Great location and spacious room. Very friendly owner and they were kind enough to let me use their computer and printer. An enjoyable stay and would stay again.

Clean, peaceful, modern bathroom, comfortable bed and speedy air conditioning. The location is excellent, for either being in the stunning Old Town or near the port and ferries. It is tucked away nicely and we did walk past it at first. The signage is discreet and just above the doorbell. Nada was genuinely hospitable and made us feel very welcome even though we missed the 10pm final check in time due to a flight delay. I would rebook this place in a heartbeat.

The location was great because it was central however you could hear outside noise a lot in our room which is a bit disrupting when trying to sleep.
Room was very comfortable and clean. Shared kitchen unit which was available.

No parking, but we were lucky to find space in one of the streets with free parking and it was only 5mins away. Also paid parking is available in short distance.
Perfect very central location, restaurants and shops around the corner, old town and more shops just few minutes walk. Room clean and good size. There are very nice restaurants beside it where we had breakfast. Would definitely recommend to stay in Riva rooms.
