Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FinlandThe room was a bit cold in the night and we couldn't set the ac to warm (But there are extra covers in the closet). The toilet, even thought is new, has a few problems. The main door doesn't close properly, leaving no space for privacy. Some hooks for hunging towels would be nice since there are none...
The location is very good, situated in one of the lateral streets of the main central promenade. Even if its in the center the apartment is very quiet. Everything there is newly renovated with a very nice kitchen and we had a spatious room on the ground floor. . Bozo, the host, is very friendly and helpful giving info about the city.

South AfricaAll was good.
Villa St Vitus is perfectly situated, close to the gates of Old Town, bars and restaurants. The apartment is comfortable and clean. Bozo is a wonderful host who is kind and helpful and is always a WhatsApp away for any questions or if anything is needed. The stairs going to the apartment can be quite challenging with luggage, but the views are well worth it! (And Bozo was kind enough to assist me with my bag).

AustraliaA great place to stay in Dubrovnik. Clean, quiet, spacious, & comfortable - access to the shared kitchen was fabulous. It is great to be able to make tea/coffee. The room was spacious and well arranged. The bathroom was small but functional. It was in a pretty quiet part of the old city - close to all the sights. I would not recommend it if you have limited mobility as it is at the top of a lot of stairs (much of Dubrovnik is at the top of a lot of stairs). If you don't mind the stairs, thoroughly recommended.

AustraliaThe location of property was perfect, located in the middle of the Old Town and the room had everything we needed. There is a modern communal kitchen if required. Our host Bozo was marvellous - answering all my minor questions prior to travel, meeting us on arrival and also assisted us on departure. Thank you so much Bozo

IcelandEverything was wonderful, didn’t want to leave !
We were first timers in Dubrovnik and we absolutely stunned. Bozo made sure we found the apartment easily, greeted us and made great recommendations on restaurants, beaches etc. The view and location were the best part of this accommodation. We had the view of the whole old town from our window which we enjoyed thoroughly. Just a few steps from the hustle and bustle of the old town, made our stay in Dubrovnik so pleasant as it was close to everything.

United KingdomThe breakfast was a bit of a trek up and down stairs which wasnt the best early in the morning but nothing major. Only other thing id say, is the cieling was very low for tall people so my head has a few lumps now ;)
Great place. Bozo was a great host who arranged a hotel transfer and met us with the keys. Even mmore appreciated as our flgiht was delayed and Bozo monitored it to ensure the transfer was on time. Great location, despite the stairs and excellent breakfast. Bozo also let us store our suitaces post check out which was greatly appreciated and saved us money on storage.

FinlandThe soundproofing was nearly non-existent, meaning noise from the street and from the common space kept us up for some time. If we weren't in good shape the stairs to the apartment could habe become problematic, but this is the case in Dubrovnik in general.
Spacious room and the apartment was located inside city walls so in good location. The host was friendly and gave us some recommendations regarding our stay.

Isle of ManGreat location just off the Main Street. Clean and comfortable. The breakfast restaurant is a short walk away in a beautiful setting just up from the Jesuit steps. An exceptional host, super helpful and quick to respond to any queries. Don’t be put off by the steps mentioned in other reviews everywhere in Dubrovnik is up or down steps all adding to the charm of the city which is stunning.
