Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Stayed here one night as I went for the dolphin tour in the early morning that leaves from the beach, which is a 5 min walk away. The owner of this small hotel is really friendly and nice. My room was also very nice with a beautiful view of the rice fields. My room was the furthest away from the busy street so the traffic noise did not bother me. They played music quite late at night from a bar close by but I was ok with that. Bed was nice and comfortable and the shower ok and basic. Very cheap price for the room so I had not many expectations.

The room without ac was really hot, but we knew and had nothing to complain...
Our room had a great view over several ricefields and mountains. For the price its a top accommodation! Quiet place with balcony and rooftop.

Just one power outlet next to the door, 1.5 meter above floor. No bedside lamp. Was a bit dirty. The first night was a animal, probably a rat, right above the ceiling.

The only small negative point is that there is poor soundproofing between the rooms.
A young boy was lovely from start to finish, great value for money and great location.

Accommodation is lovely, and staff are super helpful with any issues. Breakfast is good and cheap, with free coffee. Motorbike rental is cheap, and good bike. Rooms comfortable. Organised our onward travel at great price.

The bathroom has no window so the floor doesn't ever dry properly.
Location close to the main shops and restaurants. Staff were very nice. Nice terrace outside. Aircon.

Room on ground-floor is a bit exposed to the noise of the nearby road
Clean rooms and bed, hot water, good electric plugs, good wi-fi, good a-c, free coffee and tea, welcoming staff, walking distance to beach and many restaurants nearby.

The light switch was a little worrying since there was a pretty big gap between it and the wall, the shower was cold but I didn't mind because it's hot anyway.
The location was so good being really close to the beach. Really easy to book diving tours nearby. The bed is comfortable and the room was clean It was so affordable for a private room. I extended my stay because of this and the comfy bed.

Next door is a club that plays music until 3am! Our first night was on the second floor and the toilet had ventilation holes in it meaning that the music came through and was absolutely deafening! Staff changed us to ground floor where toilet was filled and no gaps in the concrete. Slept very well the second night. Poor security on door in ground floor, you could push the door open and the door would unlock. There was however a big sturdy cupboard with lock in room.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating by changing our room for us. Excellent value. Bed was comfortable. Spacious with good furniture. Very close to the beach and restaurants.
