We really enjoyed our stay there. Especially the full day tangkoko national park tour. It was beyond our expectations. Staff was really friendly. Very nice location.

The room was a bit dark but we didn't care. A bit difficult to have a grab coming and pick you up, so better to arrive prepared (with a number of a driver) otherwise the owner of the guesthouse can arrange a taxi (but more expensive)

Perfect location for 1 night to spend before entering the park:the rooms are literally 20 steps away from the main entrance, in a nice calm garden. Basic and a bit dark, but nice balcony, AC, and hot shower. WiFi only worked in the restaurant. Breakfast is simple: 1 banana pancake, 1 banana and coffee or tea, but the night before we had a super tasty fish and mie goreng, one of the best eaten so far in Indonesia!! And for a very cheap price.

Great value for the money. The homestay is conveniently located across the street from the entrance to the national park. Rooms were comfortable and the AC worked great. Food at the homestay was nice.

Can’t really leave the windows open when you leave, because the room is accessible. But with the humidity there, would be better to keep the air fresh inside, as the cottages are from brick.

Nice garden view, you are bit in a forest. Comfy beds, hot water in shower. Coffee, water to disposition in the dining area throughout day. Good Wi-Fi in the common space. It is simple, but enough if you want to stay and stroll around.

Homestay and kitchen simple but adequate. We had exceptional morning and evening tours! The guide (owner's brother) is incredible in sighting animals. The owner organized a car to take us back to Manado. We warmly recommend the place, everything in one place. Do not hesitate to come!

The menu has not so many choices, if you stay a few nights and the other restaurants are closed, you may get a bit bored.

Nice hotel with cosy rooms. The food is also very good, with big plate sizes. We had the morning and evening tour in the national park, also very good. Be aware to bring enough cash. The town doesn't have an atm. The staff is fantastic. The owner even drove behind our car after I forgot something in the room as we left.

    Hot shower.

Top location, immediately adjacent to Tangkoko National Park entrance. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet. I would have rated the homestay a little higher if it had hot water showers, but otherwise, it was really very comfortable. On site restaurant had ample water - hot and cold -, coffee, and tea. Breakfast and meals were good. The best part of the stay was the full-day tour to Tangkoko National Park. We had come to the park hoping to catch macaques (we ran into two large clans), horned bills, kingfisher, cuscus, tarsus, and tarantulas - and our guides Kasman and Jun fully delivered on all of these beautiful animals.

With the full day tour they could include the dinner for that price Unfurtnally the beach is pretty dirty where you do the lunch break of the tour. Not really tourist friendly But everything else was just fine.

Big rooms Working airconditions We did the whole tour in the Tangkoko park with the Main Ranger from the homestay He was brilliant Knew a lot. Showed us a lot. Really friendly Also Alfred the owner helped us with a transport seeing more of Manado for a good price

Booked here for two nights. Arrived early and still could check in early, which was greatly appreciated. The room was surprisingly big and very clean. I think it's my first time in a month in Indonesia that I am sure somebody cleaned the room. The bathroom is big, the bed is comfy, and the AC works well. Breakfast can be served early in the morning which is great for the tours. However, breakfast is only pancakes with some sort of weird honey on top of it (maybe ask for it to be on the side) and a banana. Good wifi in the room and in the restaurant. They propose a tour for tangkoko, and even though I did not book with them and directly got a guide from the park (you don't have to book with the homestay but it might be easier to do it for some people), I heard from friends that did it with the homestay that it was great and they seemed very happy. Food at the restaurant was also very good. The bonus is that the homestay is right in front of the park's entrance.

I didn’t like the pancakes for breakfast. And from the room you hear the surroundings very good, so it probably not possible to sleep till late since most of the people wake up at 5/5.30 to get breakfast and go into the park at 6am.

Confortable and clean room, with a good shower and toilet. Near to the park entrance I did the Park Tour with one of the owners and it was nice, he made big efforts to try to find all the animals for me.

The family room is very large and quietly located in the garden. The toilet and sink are separate, which we find very practical. Alfred and his team are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a small menu, but all dishes are exceptionally tasty and suitable for vegetarians too. The tours in the park were fantastic, we were able to observe many animals.

Nice basic room for a night to do the evening and early morning hikes. The staff was very nice. The food was basic, but good and reasonably priced.

The evening trip to Tangkoko National Park was very short - we saw only one tarsier and one tarantula, and our guide even didn't try to find another one (mainly when it comes to the tarsiers). But the morning trip was much better!

Very nice homestay, perfect for the trips to Tangkoko National Park, because the entrance to the park is just opposite to the Ranger Homestay. The cottage had everything that you need for convenient stay - big, comfortable beds, clean bathroom, AC and terrace with some chairs where you can relax after visit in Tangkoko National Park. The staff is also very friendly and helpful, they help also arrange the pickup from and to Manado. We made the morning and evening trips to the Tangkoko National Park and saw a lot of animals.

The room could be cleaner. There were lots of small animals poop behind the bed, for example. There were lots of cockroaches coming out of the bathroom. And even though it may be challenging to deal with them, perhaps taking measures to prevent them would be great. E.g. keeping the rooms cleaner, keeping the surrounding area free from trash, planting more native trees in the garden, etc. Also, the full day hike guide was definitely less skilled and knowledgeable than the early morning hike ones. It often sounded as if he were a bit lost and did not know what to do or where to take us. I suggest not offering that full day hike option at all. Also because it is too hot between 10 am and 3 pm to be hiking in the jungle. The black sand beach activity could be offered separately as another thing to do between the morning and the evening hikes. Also, because of the long hours of the full day hike and the very hot conditions, we ran out of water very easily. Guests should be advised to bring more than 2 liters of water per person for the full day hike.

I loved the location, the food and the overall infrastructure. The early morning hike guides were really great. They were very knowledgeable, had big and powerful binoculars so we could observe the animals very well and even take pictures with our phones. The laundry service wast excellent and very affordable!

Just to inform other travelers, the shower was cold which was not a problem for us for one night :)

We spent one night to have the opportunity to visit the Tangkoko natural reserve. As soon as we arrived, Jon, could help us organise the tour for the next morning with him. The tour was nice and we saw so many animals. We also got a nice breakfast after the tour. Jon also helped us to find a shared car to go back to Manado with other guests. It was perfect, so thank you for everything !
