Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandWalking Knockmealdowns and needed a bed close to Lismore . We were overwhelmed with the superb location with the sounds of the river running by front of building . When we reached our double room we had the delight of looking at the top of the Commeraghs . We sat out on the terrace on a beautiful evening listening to the birds and the ripple of the river with a nice cold beer . Dinner was booked for 7 in Hanora’s relaxing dining room where we were blown away by the fantastic choice of wines and food on the menu . We had local crab in filo which was succulent. To follow I had curated fresh Cod with an array of colourful vegetables including my favourite red cabbage ,yum My buddy had the Sea Bass and was so good she wouldn’t share ! We finished of with a delightful cheese board and a bottle of delicious New Zealand Sav on the terrace before night fall . After we fell into the beds and not a sound was heard . Breakie at 8am as we were leaving early and wow what a display of food fruits to die for all fresh , smoked salmon ,fresh baked scones homemade jams ,full irish to name a few . Mary and her staff were so inviting and couldn’t do enough for us ,we will definitely be back and can’t wait 🙏🏻❤️Thanks you Mary n staff

IrelandWe stayed for 2 nights at Hanora's. A very relaxing place, great location with lovely staff and excellent service. The food for dinner and breakfast was of the highest quality and the room was excellent as well. I went for walk in the area which has lovely scenery and is very peaceful. I would recommend Hanora's as a very good choice for a stay.

IrelandI can’t think of anything in particular.
This is a very well appointed and thought out property. It’s very comfortable and clean. The rooms are spacious with everything you need including some lovely touches like robes and plenty of towels. The bathrooms are legendary as are the breakfasts. Dinner is good value. It’s not pretentious but the staff are welcoming and are very helpful. The owner is always on hand for anything you need.

IrelandLocation was a little remote for our purpose but can only imagine how beautiful it would be for a hike in Spring/Summer months.
A little piece of heaven. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was clean, bed really comfy and breakfast was outstanding with lots of homemade baked goods and breads! Try the porridge, it was the best ever!! Overall atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. Lovely staff, fires lighting and they even gave us tea and scones when we arrived late, setup by a warm fire. It is surrounded by woodland and you can hear the river flowing outside. Simply wonderful. Would highly recommend giving it a visit.

IrelandThe decor is a little dated but doesn't take from any enjoyment of the premises.
Hanora's Cottage is a little gem nestled in the Nire Valley. It's quaint and really embodies old fashioned hospitality. The location right next to some wonderful walks makes it very attractive to outdoor enthusiasts and the food is set up to provide fuel for activity. The breakfast was out of the world, I have never seen anything like it real five star plus :-).
