Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

the price is a little overpriced in my opinion, the staff worked for a long time upon check-in and could not figure it out. It took 2 hours to check in. The fact is that I changed the dates on the Booking.com website, canceled the initial reservation, then increased the number of days and received confirmation from the website. the employee could not figure it out for more than an hour, and I checked in at night, it was very inconvenient to spend an hour at the reception after a tiring flight and transfer

Buffet was so expensive, especially since I just wanted a few things.
Everything you'd expect for a Marriott with wonderful and friendly service. Delicious western style coffee too. AMAZING location to everything, as we used Uber and nothing was over $6 AUD. Great for sites and shopping. Best part was the spa. You must book!

the staff was friendly & patient but we addressed the reception 3 times with the same query of premature check-out at different times of the day & got 3 different responses from 3 people, how come? Is there any consistent policy at all? it's probably what one calls a luxury hotel but it's ridiculously overrated. Normally guests just come to sleep in a hotel 'cos they're either busy with their business tasks or they're tourists & then they're even busier. Yet you pay for all those luxury features that you never use. 50-bucks breakfast seems really over the top. 🤨 to manage room lights & aircon I had to contact the reception to ask for a short masterclass on how to do it with the in-room dashboard 🙄 couldn't turn off the lights completely for the night, & not a single tip/manual/instruction in the room explaining this. So you've lots of unessential extras for the price but miss the essentials: how to operate the lights & aircon, how to contact the reception without having to leave your room. That's weird.

The hotel bar was uninspiring, so we took a quick auto ride across the roundabout to the Shangri-La, where we had a very pleasant outdoor evening drink and dinner at the Grappa Bar (or it may have officially been the Shang Palace outdoor seating area).
A nice, clean and comfortable high-end hotel, very centrally-located and with great views (at least from our room) over inner South Delhi. The hotel has glass-walled internal atrium lifts, which also offer a view, but which might be a bit disconcerting if you're bothered by heights. There is a decent, if slightly spartan, pool and a more-than-usable gym. The lobby and check-in were pleasant without being extravagant. We didn't take any meals or drinks here. For what it offers, the price was quite reasonable. I could imagine this being a perfect hotel for a business traveller.

The pool looked great for swimming but the pool area didn’t feel like the nicest environment to relax. There were just a few day beds scattered in random places.
Clean, comfortable and modern room. Food/drinks at the club lounge and breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was excellent. Service was professional and attentive.

The pool area was not so good. A bit plain. The sun was not on all the area for long.
The staff were so friendly and attentive. They could not have done more for us. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed plus more. The breakfast was delicious with everything you could possibly want. We had massages that were first class.

Communal area lacked atmosphere, especially the 2 bars. Pool area very small with limited seating area. Rooms quite tired. Our door stuck on the floor and we had trouble getting in and out.
Clean, comfortable room, nice surroundings, friendly and polite staff. Great breakfast selection.

The pool was very disappointing. You need to consider those that do use it, pool was freezing and not an enjoyable area to sit in. No plants or greenery and not enough loungers

Hotel is centrally located. Staff are very helpful , friendly and courteous. The room were clean and nice, The hotel is part of Marriot group hence the breakfast was good . Monsoon Indian restaurant has excellent cuisine but on expensive side.
