Rooms are old, air conditione and refrigerator was noisy, alot of mosquitoes due to swampy little water pools along the resort, i honestly thinks that with a little investment and renovation it can be an amazing experience.

The rooms (cabins) were really small. They have mentioned the sizes online, however its only after going there that we realise how tiny the rooms really are. The property owners can't really help it, but there were too many loud people staying there. Loud families with older and younger people - always spoil the mood. The restaurant at the venue needs a big upgrade - it had just been taken over by the couple we met, hoping they can turn the place around.

The location right on the beach was really good. The staff, specially Krishna on the front desk, were wonderful. They were really helpful and clear with all their communication.

It doesn’t have a beach view as such. Wrapped in plastic cover during rainy season it seems. So cottages were not good.

Very commercial people, had to pay everything in advance, fealt as if there was a trust issue in the mind of management towards guests. Each and every meal was charged in advance. Beds made noise whenever one changes sides during sleep.

The food from the restaurant was quite disappointing. At dinner time everything was very spicy, even masala buttermilk! Continental food was dry and tasteless, buttermilk was like lassi. The room service was very slow and would take almost an hour even for coffee or a bottle of water. The partial sea view rooms are right next to the restaurant which plays music until 12am. It was not too loud with the doors closed but if you are a light sleeper, then avoid it-pick garden view or executive rooms instead. The stay is quite good and acceptable, clean. My complaints that follow are minor and come based on the price they charge- almost 4-5k- off-season, which in my opinion is not worth the quality. I would say the quality and services match with 3 stars or lower. The rooms were not cleaned every day during the stay and we didn't opt-out of this service. The bathrooms of the wooden cottages had no separation between the dry and wet areas, and insufficient space to keep toiletries or hang towels/ clothes. The room size is a bit small and the lighting was dull. A few of the claims that they take significant steps to be more sustainable but some are are untrue - they DO use single-use plastic water bottles and do NOT have double glazed windows, in fact, the doors had a slight gap which wastes energy. The room is not so well insulated- the room would get warm in just 1-2 hours. This means that the AC consumes more energy than it needs to, therefore, not so environmentally friendly. They serve plastic straws, and room service food covered with plastic wrap. Maintain a very green lawn which requires a lot of freshwater. These are basic steps that a sustainably conscious establishment should not do. I write this in the hope that they prioritize sustainability and take steps to improve it.

It was nice there was a pool, a bit too much chlorine for my liking. The rooms and the landscape is well done. the AC kept the rooms very comfortable. the beds, sheets towels were very good. it is right at the beach. they gave bottles of water every day for free. there is a big parking lot. The staff was polite and nice. No complaints about the Wifi.

We stayed at the wooden chalets and unfortunately they did not have the acs turned on despite knowing that guests were checking in - it was like walking straight into a sauna from a long tiring trip - not exactly the kind of feeling one likes to get first thing on a holiday. Took us a good 20 mins to air out the room completely with the windows fully open and ac on full blast, before we could actually sit inside. Our room in particular had the exhaust installed the wrong way I think because it would suck in unpleasant smells from outside when switched on rather than ventilate the bathroom. Also, considering the peak dates of our stay, every single member of staff was on a mission to chuck us out as early as possible on the day of our checkout, rather than be a lil more accomodating to basic requests.

The location was pretty good, the beach access was welcome (although the beach itself was a tad bit crowded considering the peak season).

Arambol in general is a fun place with good varied restaurants. The Lotus was at the top of our budget but good to have a relaxing place to stay. The guy cleaning room was really efficient and friendly Rest of staff friendly.Close to beach
