The kitchen could have been better equipped, and the bed was two twin beds pushed together, typical of Europe, but without a connecting piece between so it was uncomfortable when the beds would slide away from each other in the night. Also, very hot in the room when we checked in, but that’s just nit-picking a great stay.

Great location, one or two blocks to Laugavegur. Easy check in, and we found cheap parking on Skulgata, maybe 3 or 4 blocks total from the accommodation. Would definitely stay again.

Pretty much everything met or exceeded my expectations, I do not have much to criticize regarding Alfred's Studio!

Clean, tidy and convenient room with a great location. All the required facilities are provided in the studio, I recommend it for solo travellers looking for a comfortable place to stay!

I'd be nit picking for the price.

For the money, the place was impeccably clean, warm and seemingly newly refurbished. It's a city location, so bare in mind the area is urban, but it's a relatively quiet city, and the accommodation is a handful of metres from the seafront and a very short walk from the city centre.

The stairs up with luggage is a challenge. The pull out couch is not for tall people.

Excellent location just steps to the sun voyager. Walkable to restaurants and grocery store. Very clean, small and efficient studio. Relaxing with fresh and air comfy little beds.

Very comfy and clean room. The location is great...the sea and the mountains are just down the road and he rest of the town is just a few minutes walk away. Easy check in and check out process. They've provided whatever you would need for a short stay. The room doesn't get cleaned, if you are staying longer and need a clean and sheet change then you can ask for one at €50 and they organize it for you

The beds are on the soft side, but that's a personal preference, so could work well for someone else. Still slept very well.

Excellent location, clean room, nice little cooking area and we could do laundry easily. For a place so close to the main shopping streets and the boulevard it's also very quiet. Would 100% recommend. Great value for money.

It got quite hot during the night and there were only small windows to open.

The location was excellent: right in the middle of the town and next to bars, restaurants, cheap supermarket and also the sea. There was also a lovely public swimming pool within 10 minutes' walk. It was very quiet: we did not hear the other guests at all. It was great to have a small kitchen as we were able to prepare some simple meals and packed lunches to take on the trips since food in Iceland is very expensive for us. The bathroom was nice and the beds were comfortable. The host gave us very useful and detailed information before we arrived and he also left information in our room that was great, including cheapest supermarket. etc. The Wifi was very strong. We called the host when we arrived about a query we had and he immediately answered and helped us out.

The stairs. Very narrow and the railing was loose. I had a stroke which was mentioned at the time of the booking. I would have preferred a room on the main floor..The room was very warm .
