Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

TurkeyWalking uphill from the station with suitcases was quite exhausting, especially after a long, nervebreaking trip from the airport because there was a strike on the day we arrived. Transportation facilities were limited. ıt took us too long to reach the hotel. Quite nerve-breaking. Taking a taxi from Roma Termini would be more advisable on arrival and departure if you have suitcases,
The rooms were very clean and so were the sheets and towels..No breakfast but they provided a kettle which enabled us to have our breakfasts in the privacy of our rooms with what we had brought on the first day and also bought at the mercato for the following days. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, which we enjoyed. We were given airy, sunny upper floor rooms as we had requested in advance. Vatican City and Museum were within walking distance, and so were the other prominent museums, though a bit farther. The staff did their best to provide info for all kinds of enquiries. No need for a taxi to reach the hotel from San Pietro Station.

AustraliaA bit far from the city to walk and taxis didn’t like taking us back as it wasn’t far enough for them. We had one taxi driver faking his engine dying because he didn’t want to take us there. This is no big deal if you like the walk. I was traveling with someone who couldn’t walk that much.
Clean and nice place.

JapanLocation is hard to reach, had to hike up broken pavement for at least 10 minutes from the bus station. Room/bathroom did not have that much.
The staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help! They even helped me open my locked suitcase. I left my suitcase for storage and was able to pick it up next day. AC was good too!

DenmarkMaybe we were just unlucky, but I think we were placed in the worst room of the Hotel right next to the stairs where the maid always stored the cleaning wagon. The first night we didn't sleep for hours because of the noise from either the streets or the restaurant, the staff were really attentive to the problem after we told them though. I had to charge my phone in the bathroom, because we couldn't find any power strips near the beds, and when using the hairdryer it kept turning off. Looking at the areas and thinking of the hotels facilities and that you needed to take a local buss to enter the city center, the hotel were not value for the money.
The staff at the Hotel are very kind and welcoming, but the hotel does not live up to a 3 star hotel.

ItalyI believe they don't have a car park. The location is very central but public transportation is scarce, and climbing uphill by foot can be tiring unless you're young.
Nice, tiny hotel on a side street in an unexpectedly quiet and I think safe corner of the city just aside the Vatican. Reasonably connected during daytime by train railway and buses at walking distance, however beware that you need to climb up and downhil to reach the hotel by foot. Not very modern but lovely room with small fridge and a tiny bathroom in my case, reachable through a lift. Nice, freely available terrace with views. This hotel has a 24/7 doorman service, handling room keys and security.

United States of AmericaNo food. Had to order in every night. They had vending machines for coffee and a second machine for some sweets and cola's.
When I booked, It was stated that breakfast and room service was available. I understand since the pandemic things have changed. The website needs to be updated. There is no food at the hotel at all. If you know that - not a problem. I booked last minute and wanted to have availability of food. The hotel is up in a neighborhood hill. [90 degrees and 4 switchbacks] It is truly a Lovely Hotel. But,I swear I spent most of my time thinking of how to get food and would it fit in the mini bar. Hopefully, they will fix this soon. The terrace on top of the hotel is charming. You do not see St.Peters. Fine. It overlooks a lovely neighborhood. Uber eats does deliver! It is 15 minutes to St Peters. Opps! They did have wine available to have at the terrace in the evening.

IsraelThe shower cubicle is very small. Problems with taking a shower. All water remains on the floor due to improper drainage. In the order there was one double bed, two single beds were connected, which were constantly moving apart. One outlet for the whole room, which creates inconvenience when you need to charge several mobile phones. The room itself is not worth the money paid for it.
Location. The staff is very friendly. They will always help and answer all questions. There is a terrace overlooking the city, quite good.
