We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

MaltaIt was quite hot in the room and whenever I put on the ac to cool down a bit, it automatically back to 30° which didn't really help. When I checked out, the lady insisted I still had to pay for the night, even though I already did that in advance. Once I showed the confirmation it was fine, but they would have charged me twice if I wasn't careful.
Excellent location, very close to the Castle and the old town in general. A clean room. I was able to store my bicycle for free in the garage overnight. Good breakfast.

CroatiaRoom, bathroom. It is a 4 star hotel but the rooms are on the 2-3 star maximum. At least the one we were in. When I made a reservation on the booking.com it was indicated that the room has balcony, when we got in the room, there was no balcony. Walls were dirty, even the ceiling was dirty. Bathroom accessories and the shower tub were dirty. It is not sound isolated as I clearly heard loud thumping from the upper floor, every morning! As well, carpet on our floor (3rd floor) was extremely dirty. Staff is far from professional, eating from the breakfast buffet at the bar while breakfast was on. Also, they forgot to let us out of the garage when we checked out. We asked at the reception to let us out, immediately got to the garage, and we were waiting and waiting for them to open the garage door, but no one opened it. My partner had to get out of the car, while we were on the steep, and go again to the reception to the upper floor to ask them if they would be so kind to let us out. They forgot about us. We payed for one night 283,00€, 566,00€ for the stay and if I knew in which condition was room I would never make a reservation there. It isn’t worth that much. Entrance, Lobby and the bar are beautiful, but that’s it.
