It was about a 20-minute walk to the nearest restaurant. We arrived on a Sunday so there was nothing available in the vicinity. Fantastic eateries though around the Duomo.

The room was spacious, great shower. It was spotlessly clean. Access on arrival was very easy. Communication with host via email was great. Replied very swiftly.

While our overall experience was positive, it's worth noting that the noise insulation in the room could have been better. We occasionally heard street noise, but this was not a significant issue for us and didn't detract from our overall enjoyment of the stay.

Our stay in Syracuse was truly enjoyable, and we appreciated several aspects of this accommodation. Firstly, the self-check-in and check-out process with clear instructions made our arrival and departure hassle-free. The added bonus of having private and secure parking was a great convenience, allowing us to explore the city with peace of mind. Although the property wasn't located in the historic center, it was still within walking distance, making it easy for us to explore the charming streets of Syracuse without needing our car. One highlight of our stay was the breakfast arrangement – receiving a ticket for a delightful breakfast at the nearby bakery (panificio) across the street. Their Sicilian-style croissants, pastries, and "brioche" were a delightful treat, giving us a taste of authentic local flavor

The breakfast is Sicilian type, with plenty of things to chose from. The coffee is great. After 2 days we had the breakfast at another place with nice staff and also amazing food.

Noisy. I could hear other quests using bathroom and even blowing noise.

It was a nice place to stay for one night. The communication was very clear and easy. I like the self check in. We had a good sleep. Breakfast was huge but only sweets and coffee. But we don’t mind that.

Good location, even though overlooking main road near hospital we didn't have problem with noise. Ignazio sent us instructions on gaining entry to B&B and had no problems during stay. Small parking area which meant hire car was safe. At least 15 mins walk to old town. Breakfast was at owners bar across the road, coffee and croissant with the locals.

It’s little far from the peninsula Ortigia with old city of Siracusa on it (approx. 2 km by foot). Ortigia is the main part of the city with restaurants, cafés, bars and so on so it was quite unpleasant to walk this distance many times a day. Breakfast is good but definitely could be better and larger. Rooms are quite small.

New, comfortable rooms with nice bathroom. Shared balcony was a nice addition I didn’t know about before going there. Owner is very friendly, always ready to help or give a tip what to do etc. Breakfast is in the near café and there’s only one sweet thing and one drink per person a day. But everything was delicious. In the back of a building there’s a safe, free place for parking, super handy when renting a car in Sicily (which I definitely recommend! Public transport is horrible!)

Staff was really helpful, we booked the room at 9pm and the manager arrived immediately to welcome us. He let us park the car inside for the night. Clean and quite room. There is a voucher for breakfast, bar is just around the corner and really good. Walking distance to Ortigia. Highly recommended.

The Activities mentions Bicycle rental (additional charge), but it simply means that the owner will show you where you can rent the bikes in the city. It's a walking distance, but it was closed in the middle of the day when we arrived, so we could not rent them to visit the city.

The room was very comfortable and the shower was great with the high water pressure. Also, we were super close to the archeaological park which was an unexpected attraction, as we came to visit Ortiga in the first place.

The rooms are not as advertised online. Very bad comunication with the owner. The worst experience do far.

The breakfast was very limited, specially the one served in the bar (1 croissant and 1 caffe). At the arrival, the owner tell us no cleaning tomorow,..and the fact that he knocked on the door the last day at 10:25 to go out at 10:30...so we had to négociate a check out at 11 am!

The shower drain cover restricted the water drainage alot, enough that the water overflowed the shower cabin onto the bathroom floor. Even with turning off the water in between soaping and rinsing.

The location is close to the Neapolis and the room was updated fairly recently.
