Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaAlthough our room was on the ground floor, the breakfast was served on the first floor, which made it awkward for one of our party.
Simone was a very friendly and attentive host. He gave us lots of information about the surrounding area and recommended some superb restaurants nearby.

Such a cosy place to stay if you are visiting Chianti! Simone, the owner is super nice and helpful! He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and wine tasting places. Our room was super cute and clean, and the location of the accommodation is very convenient to visit around the area. Totally recommend it and will stay again to this amazing place if in the area! Grazie Simone!

SwitzerlandIt’s very cold. The heating in the room seems not enough, and it’s like colder in the room than outside. But doesn’t really matter for sleeping cos the blanket makes you warm.
The location was perfect if you like the countryside, away from all the noise of the city. It was a cute place, I like the structure cos I like all things old - they are full of history. The room was clean, bed and pillows were comfortable and also the blankets, which kept us from the cold of the night. It also has a nice garden.

United States of AmericaIt was a nice & comfy stay in this cute house. It’s a cool and rustic house that Simone has taken care of very well. Room is very clean and cozy. Simone made all pastries for the breakfast for the guests. It’s very nice to have a breakfast in his cute kitchen, sharing traveling information with other guests as well. I highly recommend this place.

SlovakiaThe location and the natural bath nearby was amazing experience in Tuscany. We appreciated the hospitality of Simone. Everything was made with love, gentleness with consideration to the surrounding nature which is fabulous. The whole stay was like being in a real fairy-tale. Thank you very much, Simone, for your kindness as well as delicious breakfast in your picturesque kitchen. We also liked the backyard where we enjoyed our habitual morning coffee:-) Thank you. Best wishes.

CanadaMy only critique , I am smell sensitive person and the air fresheners were a little strong. That is minor though in comparison to everything else.

GermanyEverything was perfect. The fact that the rooms don’t have tv did not bother me at all. You will appreciate the lodgement and the nature around it much more like this trust me.
Property is located at the very quiet location within the beautiful area of Chianti. I particularly liked the traditional yet modern and well maintained building and amenities. Please mind, rooms have no aircondition but you really don’t need it cause the thick brick stone work is insulating very well and I slept very good. Mr Simone prepared an excellent breakfast for the days I stayed combining salty and sweet local treats - his kitchen is beautiful and kept ij traditional style! The property is well located right in the middle of all important villages and sights of Tuscany. You do need a car to move around but once you are there you get everything like parking, good WiFi, excellent breakfast (let the owner know the day before so he has time to prepare), a well sized and clean room and a very peaceful and enjoyable time.

RomaniaI hate bedspeads - they're a thing of the past to me anyway, but with covid-19 I especially hate to touch them. In all fairness, they seem to use them a lot in Tuscany in general, not just here. My suggestion: getting rid of them will make the bed a lot more inviting, and you can create an atmosphere even without them.
Very friendly host, gave us info and tips regarding the area. There's a special atmosphere at breakfast, in keeping with the accomodation theme, so it's unique and most probably enchanting for kids especially. A sort of fairytale style. The garden is nice to sit in. There's a few cats around.

GermanyVery quiet in the middle of Tuscanys nature, yet only 10min drive to Castellina in Chianti with wine bars, ristorante and small shops. La Fiaba is a lovely stonehouse with a garden where you can relax. The host Simone gave us a warm welcome and tipps to explore the Chianti region. The room was big and clean.
