Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyWe had the pleasure of staying in this truly captivating accommodation in southern Puglia, where the essence of a small Italian town is beautifully preserved. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our rooms boasted authentic furnishings with a unique charm, all maintained in pristine condition. It felt like stepping back a few hundred years, surrounded by the historical beauty of the area, yet with all the comforts of cleanliness and tidiness. The breakfast was a highlight of our stay, with many ingredients sourced directly from the host's garden. The freshness and quality of the food provided a delightful start to our day. The expansive yard and garden were equally impressive, offering tranquil spots to relax and unwind. Parking was hassle-free, with enough space available on the surrounding streets and square. For any necessities, a hypermarket was conveniently located just a five-minute drive away. Overall, our visit was a remarkable blend of past and present, where traditional charm meets exceptional hospitality. Highly recommended for those looking to experience the authentic spirit of Puglia.

Daniela and Giuseppe are such open and friendly people and they made us feel like family. We had a wonderful stay and were sad to leave. They fulfilled all our wishes, the room was spectacular, the breakfast was delicious and our days were just wonderful. They had great tips on where to go, where to eat and the best beaches around. We were also able to go horse riding with Giuseppe and it was great fun.

United States of AmericaThe only downside to this amazing place is you definitely need a car or scooter to get around. Its only 10 min drive from the nearest coast (which has an amazing grotto to swim into btw) but the BnB itself is located in a very quiet town with only one restaurant in walking distance. So get ready to spend most days driving to other parts of Salento but its a wonderful place to have as a basecamp for your adventuring.
This place is a dream like oasis tucked into a quiet town. The breakfast is made by Daniela and is some of the tastiest treats we had the whole trip. The space has rich history and is beautiful all around, you could spend many hours getting lost exploring on the grounds of this place. We didnt speak Italian but Giuseppe is fluent in English and we did just fine talking with Daniella over Google Translate! Giuseppe gave us so many wonderful tips for traveling around to other cities, swimming spots etc and even took us horse back riding! But I would recommend being pretty experienced on horses to do this ride, it was an adventure! We spent 7 nights there and loved every bit of it.

IrelandGuiseppe and Daniella are special. They clearly love life and what they do. They are intereasted in their guests and are the perfect hosts. The Breakfasts were exceptional made by the hand of Daniella / Local Hams, Omlettes, Ricotta cheese with local honey, warm bread, fantastic coffee, Tarts made with melt in the mouth shortbread and home made jams - One particular homemade tart made with shortcrust pastry, creme anlglaise topped with strawberries. Anything we couldnt eat was wrapped and given to us in parcels for our days exploring the beautiful countryside and swimming spots. Guiseppe was mine of local knowledge and but also a really interesting person to talk to - his knowledge of the locas history of the region and abroad was both informative and really helpful. They are charming and were eager to go to any lengths to make our stay in their beautiful accomodation as special for us as possible. They and the ladies that work with them epitomise hospitality -

United States of AmericaThe bathroom in our unit (while charming and spacious!) was accessed by going up a few steps so could be an issue for some.
Fabulous hosts, beautiful garden and outdoor eating spaces, delicious breakfast with tremendous variety of homemade food. Giuseppe and Daniela went above and beyond to make our stay extremely pleasant and memorable. We enjoyed tasting regional specialties lovingly prepared by Daniela and learning the fascinating history of the property and the area.

United Kingdomwith hindsight we should have booked here for our whole stay in Salento. we spent two nights with Daniela and Giuseppe and we didn’t want to leave - one of the best places we had the pleasure to stay at. the place is magical, you’re surrounded by herbs, plants and trees. everything in the casale, rooms included, is selected from the finest materials and with greatest care (Daniela has a superbly fine eye). both Daniela and Giuseppe are wonderful souls, passionate about their land and with endless stories to share, and suggestions on how to enhance your trip to really live Salento to its fullest. proudly homemade, using their products (or locally sourced), breakfast was the best moment of our days. there’s a few adorable and cuddly pets to play with too 🐶🐱 we miss it all already! grazie e a presto ✨

SpainJust few tweaks (adding a mirror, changing the TV) would make it absolutely perfect.
Daniela and Giuseppe were fantastic hosts, very nice, flexible and very generous. We felt like special guests throughout our whole stay. The rest of the staff is incredibly nice, too. The Casale is a gorgeous place, with a very relaxed and authentic vibe, where you feel at home. The breakfast is done fresh every morning with home-made dishes and everything sourced locally. Highly recommend!

An execptionaly wonderful experience, the hosts are the kindest and most friendly people we've met. Their estate is a rare jem, it is in the historical part of Castiglione and contains a mixture of antiques and unique furniture. Daniella makes delicious home made liquers and jams and also gave us a cooking lesson and dinner which was an experience we won't forget. Giussepe took us on a horseback riding trip from their farm in the surrounding fields to the town and explained us a lot about the history of the place and about Puglia.

Cosy and charming place in a beautifully restored building with a huge garden in the centre of the historical village Castiglione. Lovely hosts that made sure we had everything we needed, gave us insight tips for trips into the region and shared their vast knowledge on Puglian history and culture with us. The breakfast was amazing, with varying local specialties, homemade jams and the best cakes in puglia!

NetherlandsA lot of mosquitoes, but mosquito spray helps.
Casale del Forno is a green oasis perfectly located between Santa Maria di Leuca and Otranto. Giuseppe and Daniela are the greatest hosts we had during our holiday. Daniela provided us with delicious food (most is self made with ingredients from the garden) and Giuseppe gave us so many good recommendations for restaurant, beaches, caves and places to watch the sunset. He even gave us a tour through Lecce and showed us their horses at the stables 5 minutes from the B&B. The room we stayed in was once the oven of the town is renovated while keeping the authentic elements. Our stay was a perfect experience.

DenmarkThis place feels like a hidden oasis. Giuseppe and Daniel and their staff are the kindest. The rooms are beautiful and soulful. Thet have been decorated with respect for the building and it’s history. Every morning a delicious breakfast is served. Homemade hans, cheese, cured meat and cakes (we are not ususally not into the Italian cake-for-breakfast tradition, but Danielas cakes were so good!). We used Google translate to communicate with Daniela, but we wished we could speak italien. It was clear that she is a very intelligent and warm woman with a love for art, history, music and culture. Giuseppe speaks english and knows a lot about the history and culture of Puglia! He is so kind and even offered to show us around Lecce! We didn’t have time, but we want to come back and learn more about the region from Giuseppe. This was an 10/10 experience!

We loved our stay at Casale del Forno. Daniella and Guiesseppe were amazing hosts and took care of us like family. They have an amazing property with such a beautiful garden and a nicely done house, we never wanted to leave. Also thanks to Sara who served us breakfast (which by the way was super tasty) everyday while patiently translating everything to English. We totally recommend this stay without a doubt.
