Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalThe bed was too big for the size of the room. There was no chair, but the staff brought it to the room as soon as I asked for.

PolandA big place. Good location next to the train station and buses to Assisi. It was clean , but there were dark marks on the walls and a few stains on the bed covers. Breakfast was ok, but no warm dishes.

GreeceThe noise from the neighboring room which was occupied by students that were on their school excursion, but eventually they fell asleep, so no big deal.
Great location, right in the heart of Santa Maria degli Angeli, surrounded by well kept gardens, within waking distance to everything, including the train station. The room and amenities were adequate, while the price was absolutely fair for what you get.

Australiablinds could have been a bit thicker to block out more morning light. Because the hotel is fairly large, it can feel a bit impersonal. This and the 24 hour check-in however can be a plus if you are looking for a reliable hotel experience!
Excellent breakfast. Most staff were friendly and helpful. The bar sells coffee and wine by the glass at very cheap prices. Hotel is modern and very clean and comfortable rooms, and right next to the Angeli Basilica. You will see Friars occasionally wandering the common areas. There is a bus stop right next to the Basilica that takes you directly along the 3.5km route up to the old hill town part of Assisi. The walk from the train station is fairly flat and easy to do with luggage in tow in 15mins.

BrazilThe first floor bedroom had a strong sewage odor coming from the bathroom drains. I had to ask to change rooms. This room should be closed to preserve the health of the guests. The treatment of the attendants is very impersonal and they are not at all friendly towards the guests. It's a shame for a Franciscan hotel to have such cold staff when welcoming guests.
The hotel is located next to the Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli.

United States of AmericaTrain was supposed to arrive 22:30 in perugia, but delayed and when arrived in perugia, already the last train/bus to assisi departed, so I had to stay whole night at perugua station until the earliest train available in the morning arrived. Then i finally got to the hôtel when reception opened and explained my situation and asked if they could reschedule a night. but their attitude was dismissive like "your train got late? Tough luck." No sympathy or empathy at all. If reschedule wasn't possible, instead they could have provide me with free breakfast, or coupons for local restaurants or attractions at least, but no effort to be sympathetic and not even trying other options to accomodate customer who went through nightmare coming all the way from USA to visit assisi, one of the most celebrated pigrimage sites in italy. This hospitality business has the worst attitude of hospitality of all I've experienced in my life, thus i do not recommended this place at all to anyone, no one should be using this facility and no one should be treated the way i was treated, as they horrendously lack the basic spirit of hospitality. As empathy is supposed to be the foundation of hospitality.

United KingdomTwo things: although I was in a section of the hotel supposedly for individual travellers, the corridors were echoey and my sleep was disturbed by noisy groups of teenagers screaming, shouting and running around the corridors. At breakfast every day there was no assigned place for me, even though I booked bed and breakfast deal. I saw that families and couples had assigned seating. I felt that the staff were not bothered about individual travellers, especially non-Italians, even though I speak Italian fine. At checkout the person barely glanced at me and merely demanded tourist tax from me but managed to greet other people effusively. Sadly I will reconsider returning here: I have stayed here several times before
Good location. Clean and comfortable room. Lovely breakfast and when I had a meal in the restaurant the food was of very good quality. Giorgio, one of the reception staff, was the friendliest and most helpful person I met.

Sweden-
This was our fourth or fifth stay in Hotel Domus Pacis, and we just love it. The staff remembers us with such kindness and joy that we feel truly welcome here. The rooms are spartan (as they should be: the hotel is owned by the church, we think), though all food that comes in your way is excellently prepared and does not cost a lot.
