Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyBeds were very firm. Not necessary a negative for everyone just good to know. Parking area was VERY narrow to get to - alley to tight turn. We had a large vehicle and it was damaged getting it out. We would have preferred to just be told to park else where when we asked if we would fit and were told we would be ok.
Location was fantastic. It was a nice spot for a quick one night stay we came in the late afternoon and were able to see ruins before they closed and get up and head to Pompeii the next morning. There was a great pizza place in a basement near by

GermanyThe mattresses of the beds were inferior, they were quite uncomfortable. Parts of the breakfast staff were inattentive.
The location is great, right across from the gate of Herculaneum and a ten-minute walk from Ercolano Scavi station. The rooms are adequate in size and nice. The outdoor patio is inviting the spend time there reading. Breakfast is solid and good.

Perfect location to visit Herculaneum ruins - literally across the road. Nearby train station (10min walk) to get into Naples easily. Good breakfast

United States of AmericaI was not a fan of the fact that someone else’s terrace was right outside the bathroom with no proper window coverings. It felt a little violating. Smelled slightly of smoke because of cigarette smoke drifting in from outside. Also, though the place was clean, it could really use some updating.
I love the location of the property, the kindness of the staff, and the cleanliness.

United KingdomThe photos appear to show tables in a garden, but this is just a terrace at the bedroom (2nd ?) floor level with a screen covered in fake leaves to hide the buildings opposite ! We thought the tourist tax was included (perhaps that was just the City tax) and not reminded of it. As we left at 6am with no-one on reception at that moment, we will have to do a bank transfer. Some of the large bushes dividing the bedroom terraces are very dead, so a depressing sight.
We had a large room with a small terrace. The towels were changed daily and the bed linen good. The room is nicely decorated with good curtains. There was an excellent buffet breakfast which should suit every nationality. The entrance to Herculaneum is directly across the road. Parking is nearby but busy and the machine did not accept a bank card. There was a good restaurant - the Bistrot Italia in Corso Italia -within a few minutes walk. Helpful receptionist that spoke good English.

United KingdomWe liked everything. Only issue we had was the shower drain did not work properly. Just a few things to look after would made this hotel the perfect stay.
The location is perfect to visit the archeological site. The staff at the reception, kitchen and cleaning is very kind and happy to help at any time. The terrace is nice and cosy. The hotel was very quiet and we felt like at home.

HungaryPublic transport can take a while to get there, and taxi's are a bit on the pricey side. To get to Naples or the airport, expect to pay around 40 - 60 Euros. Also, recommend you walk up the stairs, rather than take the lift.
The main reason for choosing this hotel was location. We came to Naples to see Herculaneum. This hotel is literally right across (a small) road to the heritage site - 1 minute walk to the gate. It was well-priced, very convenient and whilst I was expecting the room to be simple - there was a nice common area. Restaurants are in walking distance, and we ate well.

AlbaniaThere were minimal facilities and staff was not that friendly. The breakfast was very poor with just a couple of things to eat. Even why you are close to Ercolano ruins the location was in a place where the people were not that friendly. I would recommend for a short stay.
The Hotel was located close to the ruins of old Ercolano, the room was spacious but there was not too much light.
