I wish we had the bigger balcony. And what was a bit annoying was that every time we used water the water boiler or something made a lout noise from downstairs that we could hear in the apartment so make sure to take your earplugs if you are a light sleeper like I am.

The location is perfect, you can walk around Ortigia by foot and that’s perfect. The apartment is very nice and furnished. The view was amazing worth the money although I wished we had the bigger balcony but in the end that’s okay.

We had a great time staying here overall, but this place had some serious drawbacks that should be noted as I think some people would be fairly unhappy here. The hot water did NOT really work during our entire stay. It would stay hot for about 5 minutes maximum and then turn cold. We spent at least 1-2 hours trying to fix the issue (turning the heater off/on, playing with the settings), but the issue was not resolved. We informed the management about the issue and they acted like it was a new problem (telling us to turn the heater on/off and wait a few hours -- tried that, of course!), but I highly doubt that it was something they hadn't heard many times before. My wife was pretty unhappy with the situation as there was not enough water to wash her hair and/or shave her legs. Additionally, the water heater makes a loud SCREECHING sound any time the heater is turned on (coming from the first floor of the building). The apartment clearly has a very old water heater/electrical system that needs to be replaced. My wife and I both used ear plugs during our stay, so it was OK. However, if you didn't use ear plugs, or you had guests staying in the living room on the sofa-bed, it would definitely wake guests up in the middle of the night whenever the sink/toilet turned on (terrible). The management should really fix this issue.

Location was superb. Comfortable bed. Amazing ocean view right from the living room. Apartment was well designed and had everything we needed.

When we arrived, we had to lug two reasonably heavy suitcases plus other heavy bags up 39 steps rising sharply to our apartment on the top floor (there was No Lift) while the lights in the stairways kept turning off which was quite dangerous . . . probably sensor lights would have been more appropriate. There was no convection oven or microwave. There was crockery but no cutlery . . .strange, difficult to eat with your fingers !!! There was a large sink but no S/S plug for washing dishes. There was also no electric toaster or jug which made making a cup of coffee or a piece of toast quite a challenge. (This was possibly due to the fact that most Sicilians do not eat toast but mainly croissants, cakes and pastries.) The bathroom was a good size, however, the shower head consisted of only a detached portable type that was mounted on the wall and non- adjustable. There was also no shelving in the shower nor toiletries. It is also Worth Noting 1. There seemed to be a lack of maintenance on the unit. A. For instance, the steel safety railing that ran along the front of the decking was badly rusted /corroded in many parts, together with much of the outdoor furniture. B. The condition of the wooden shutters on the two windows were in poor condition with paint flaking off and the metal fittings rusting. 2. One of the two sun lounges was broken with both needing to be replaced. 3. In many apartments that we have stayed in other parts of Europe and Asia, items such as an electric jug , a toaster, a microwave, a fridge and kitchen facilities, including cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery are generally regarded as standard. . . . Not necessarily so in Sicily.

The unit was large with a spacious comfortable, king size bed, air conditioning and a clothes rack attached to the wall. The kitchen was spacious with a large fridge, a gas hot plate and a coffee machine. The bathroom was a good size, however, the shower head consisted of only a detached portable type that was mounted on the wall and non- adjustable. The highlight of this apartment, however, was the large terrace that was accessible from either the bedroom or the kitchen consisting of chairs, tables and sun lounges with magnificent, sweeping views of the old town and coastline . . .Truly Magnificent especially first thing in the morning to have the warm sun and the fresh sea breezes invade the premises while having a cup of coffee.

I stay 2 nights in the room with terrace. There was 2 workers came to repaired the balcony-door during I was rest in the room. And they took 1 hr. for fixed it. It was disturbed, the host could manage this when I am already check out. Isn’t it?

I don’t really have any complaints. The owner was always quick to reply with questions via texts. Parking is a challenge and you have to walk about 10 minutes from the parking garage. Parking averages about 16,00 euros a day so keep that in mind. Also we were only left with 1 towels each for 4 days. So I would recommend supplying more towels and having to check out at 10:00 am is too early in my opinion. Also supplying a beach towel would be helpful as we only had 1 bath towel to last for 4 days we couldn’t swim in the sea as we didn’t have a towel. The patio is spectacular. The apartment is very bright and clean and we really enjoyed.

The location is perfect and the patio deck is spectacular. Waking to the sound of the waves from the sea and the sun shining in was amazing. It was a short walk to the main piazza and close to everything. I would definitely book this place if we return to Ortegia.

Sadly the showers needed attention. They did come quickly to inspect but did not manage to fix whilst we were there, so 4 of us were reliant on a single bathroom for showering in the 2 apartments, which was ok as we were a family happy to share, but if had been in one apartment would not have been ideal. Easy fix. Nothing to stop a return visit!

Location was really very good. Great views and lovely sunsets. Central to walk to Ortigia old town. Everything to see a close walk. Had to park in closest carpark which was about 15 min walk. We were a family of 4 and had 2 apartments one above each other so could use all facilities. Ate locally and also bought food in where we sat at table and on deck to eat. Kitchen well stocked with plates, glasses etc. Each apartment was perfect for couples. I would say not geared up for small kids.

Access to the property by car was complicated. Cannot park at the property, only able to drop luggage off, then 10 mins walk to public parking Euro 15 per day. Small dark and dirty entrance stairs/hall give a poor impression. No oven.

Key box code was correct and keys worked well. Sea view. Spacious bright one bedroom apartment in great location. Good air-conditioning. Good WiFi.

Great location with beautiful view, Emmanuel helped us with our bags and we entered the apartment easily. Kitchen is fully equipped so it was great for us to shop and have an early dinner in the apartment, then walk around the town. It's centrally located, so we were in the main sq in a few minutes, with a small public beach within view of the balcony.

Loved the location. The sea view from the apartment is spectacular. It has very easy access to shops and restaurants. And the beach is just across the road. The place was clean and well looked after.

The wifi is really bad !!!

Great location and very very nice apartment with great views. We had the apartment with balcony and we loved it. The views are super nice and the balcony can be used. The apartment is nicely decorated and extremely comfortable and clean. We swam every day at the Cala Raossa beach which is literally 2 min away .. we loved it !

Awful attitude of the agent. There was no toaster and the safe was locked shut. We told the agent and he replied " the safe cannot be used I don't know how to open it" and "" the toaster is broken you can use a pan". After we complained further he told us we would have to call a third party the next day to sort the safe ,but still failed to give us the full contact details. This is not the level of service we deserved given the cost of this apartment. The toaster never appeared and it was a good job we took our own coffee mugs as there were no cups.

The terrace is wonderful, plenty of room for sun loungers and dining furniture. The view was fantastic, location spot on. Beautifully decorated.

The photographs on booking.com are misleading. There are two apartments, only one with a terrace. This apartment has a very narrow balcony with a tiny table and two chairs. Awful attitude of the agent when asked to resolve issues. We were unable to use the safety deposit box . No toaster. This was a very expensive option and we deserved better attention to rectify problems

The kitchenware was good, but a few more bowls to use when we were cooking would have helped out. Having a shelf in the shower for soap/shampoo would have been very helpful

It was mildly difficult to find out how to access the door key as it was supposed to be done by email and my iphone was almost dead and fortunately our driver had charger i used to get my phone to work. It would have easier to just have the access info the day before. We did also end up calling the host. It would be easier to receive the info by a text. We loved the terrace. The view was spectacular.

Unfortunately we thought we had booked the terrace apartment but ended up with the apartment below with a v small balcony. Not sure if this was our mistake although the site showed a mixture of photos from the two apartments. It would have been good for the kitchen to have a kettle and toaster, plus basic staples of salt, pepper and oil. There was very little space for clothes storage as the drawers were filled with linen as was most of the wardrobe.
