Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Nice B&B very close to the center of Verona. Main attractions reachable in maximum 10/15 minutes. The Arena only 5 minutes by foot. We had a big room to accommodate the 4 of us, beds were confortable and extra pillows provided The room is equipped with a mini bar and a water cooker for coffee and tea. The owner Robert was very welcoming and provided us with tips to discover the city and advices for restaurants.

The only thing we wished for is some deck chairs on the terrace.
Beautiful rooms and a wonderful terrace. The location is close to the city center. The breakfast is in the cafe across the street - they have very good coffee and food.

Clean and very close to dining and shops
Property was very clean and comfortable. It more than exceeded our expectation and would love to stay here again. Roberto was very communicative and gave us some great insight on where to dine. Excellent service!!!

As many reviews previously noted, extremely stressful check in timeline (despite of written instruction about possible late check in, in reality this does not exist). We experienced quite nervous responses from the host… Breakfast is very poor.. Definitely more touristic approach is needed!!!

The location was great by a short walk to the "porta" of the historical center and also rather near the railwaystation. The room was large and the bed was good, everything was very clean. The host Roberto was very friendly and gave a lot of tips for example of nice typical restaurants outside touristarea. The breakfast was on the other side of the street in a nice bar with coffee/ tea, juice and cornetto.

The breakfast option was a bit basic but this is perhaps a cultural difference. The Italian clientele in the cafe we used really do perform a speedy quick espresso and cornetto and off to work. Whereas on holiday we like to take our time and consume larger breakfasts on the whole.
Great location, just a 10 minute walk to the centre of Verona. However there are cafes, wine bars and a restaurant on the same street if you wanted to stay near your accommodation in the evening. Lovely city feel on wide tree lined street which was a contrast to Venice. Room was modern and comfortable with basic breakfast option at near by cafe.

Breakfast was away from the site at a cafe/bar across the street. But it was fine.

The room was bit dark since the window is out to a light well/internal courtyard type space but I expected this from the photos and the price also reflected this.
We had a family room and it was quite spacious. It was helpful that a simple breakfast at the cafe across the road was included in the room cost.

It was very, very hot and stuffy and the A/C could not be adjusted. Having fans would have helped.

As this is not a hotel, the latest check-in at 7pm was stressful, as we we’re driving from Germany to Verona the day of arrival.
Roberto was extremely friendly and helpful with nice restaurants and sightseeing in Verona.

The breakfast arrangement could have been better but it‘s not bad for a 2 nights stay. There are many places to eat around anyway.
