Complete lack of communication despite our repeated messages sent during the 48 hours prior to our arrival. No directions supplied (this apartment is virtually impossible to find without directions) Entry to apartment not possible without key code, and key code was not supplied until very late in the day despite our communications re. our arrival time. When we eventually gained entry we found that there was no top sheet on the bed, no loo paper, no washing up liquid, etc.; also zero information of any sort inside apartment.Top sheet eventually delivered 24 hours later. Very strong impression that the apartment owners simply don't care. Small garden overgrown and had overflowing rubbish bins - great shame as could be a real asset if cared for.

the bed is really small, there is barely no furniture and the showers has a no very clean looking curtain. Communication with the host wasn’t great, although they were accommodating.

The young who was there to give me the room was wholly overwhelmed, and was only able to finish preparing the room after needing two hour-long delays. It was almost the same with another couple. The Wi-Fi was there, but not connectet with the internet. As I said - I think, they were ironing out the kinks.

It is a nice place, value for the price, but I have the supicion that they were ironing out the kinks before the main season startet.

The location is great, Davide is super kind and helpful. It’s not a big room but the bed is super comfortable. If you’re looking a place just to sleep, is perfect!

A little expensive for what you get. If you are looking for a room to purely sleep it does the job. However the shower was not great and there was no AC - so any later in the summer I can imagine it would get really to hot.

it was pretty run down and basic and lacked any effort from the host. The man who check us in didn’t speak as word to us, in english or Italian and the property itself is a bit of a building site. As two young single ladies we felt quite uncomfortable up on arrival, but after a being there it felt okay. Once you check in you are left alone and there is no one to ask questions to or check if you are okay. the only communication we receive was via booking.com asking us for the tax payment - he was very inflexible and expected us to change our plan to give him money, despite giving us no welcome/assurance of safety. The front door is left open all night, safe to say this isn’t an official bNb as describe. It is a single room in a empty building out of town with no one looking after you.

Great place for a basic stay for a 1-2 days during exploring Cinque Terre. Room was comfy. Even If I didn't meet the owner in person, the contact was great and responses to my questions were quick. Located really near the city center, easy to find.

* NO CUSTOMER SERVICE: * No one there to meet you at arrival. Also not available by phone, email or booking.com messenger. Which means you have to wander around and hope this is your room - DIRTY & DAMP: * It was dirty- like pubes in the shower and hair on the floor dirty. * There is no light that gets into the room and only one window. Thus there is no airflow and it remains damp. Feels like a basement apartment given the level of the windows. * The only window is right above and below where others smoke- so your room is constantly filled with smoke. * There is no privacy- the window looks into the room next door. -NOT EASILY ACCESSIBLE - a million stairs, with no directions or boards showing you direction. ( don’t let the distance to the station fool you) -ILLOGICAL & CARELESS FINISHES: * The lights next to the beds were not replaced. * All the plugs dont work * The tumble dryer isnt earthed properly- which means when ever you try put something on you get slightly shocked * The small room with no washer( logical ?) . Also a random printer ? Felt like we were staying in a forgotten storeroom. * No place to hang your towels etc. except some coat pegs. * Its 40’C , there is no air-con, a fan and a a WOOLEN blanket on the bed. * The towels feel like beige sandpaper and together with the shower mat should have been replaced 2 seasons ago. * Your view is the dumpyard. -NOT GOOD QUALITY FOR MONEY: * For the same price we stayed in much nicer places in the surrounding area- I would give this place a skip in the future. All of this i could deal with, but have you ever arrived with no way of checking in and no way of getting hold of them?!? Its bad service. After a long days travel and a million stairs, and no direction or directions on where to find the property amongst the 100’s of steps and alleys. For the service industry this place was just not welcoming and that is inexcusable.

The location is great, just a few hundred meters from the beach, and with a nice view from the window. We didn't have any difficulty in finding the house as other reviews as Google Map can lead you to the exact location. You just need to ask the room/ floor number beforehand to avoid confusion. The house is big and spacious. There is a smart TV for you to chill with. Davide doesn't speak much English, but texting works because he can use Google Translate to text in English through Whatsapp. I think the price is affordable compared to other options in Riomaggiore. So you can consider staying at Davide's place.

The internet had to be fixed several times during our staying The water flow rate could have been higher During the night it was so cold in the room and we were allowed to use the heating system for 2-3 hours/day only The cleaning service wasn’t so good as we found hair in the bathroom We also had problems with the bathroom light

It was hard to find but I arrived in the dark so that contributed. A few spots in the shower weren't the cleanest but overall great place!

I loved the communication with the owner through WhatsApp during our stay, he was very attentive!! The location is great and it is a great value for the price! Room was nice and towels and a hairdryer were provided!

the only thing is slightly inconvenience was the hot shower might take sometime to start less than 5 mins with low pressure. but there is hot shower, and for the price, I can not complain much.

great value for a short stay in Cinque Terre. The owner took good care, and very active to accommodate my stay. very smooth communication, great location, less than 10 mins walk to the train station. its quite an uphill but thats to be expected in this area. for the price I think this place is a rare find.
