Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

No complaints.
Very convenient location, walking distance to several touristy sites such as the Colosseum, The Forum and the Circus Maximus. It is also located nearby a metro stop which made traveling to other areas in Rome, very easy. It's a small apartment but its clean, cozy and had all the necessary amenities such as hot water and WiFi.

The bathroom was fine but the shower needs some care. Cleaning wasn't the best for the shower and it tended to flood
The location is fantastic. The view is also very good. Host was responsive and very good. Collection of vinyls was a nice touch. Balcony was nice

I would have preferred to have the tv in the living room rather than the bedroom, but that is a personal choice
The apartment was in a great location. When you walked out the main door, there was a lovely park in front and the colosseum to the right. All the main attractions were easily reached by walking. The apartment itself was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Access was very easy with a key code. The owner was very quick to reply to any queries via whatasap. I would highly recommend Vinylogy Apartments.

Very comfortable stay, good location, hostess was easily contactable and responsive. Very thoughtful to have a honesty snack and wine bar as well as breakfast basics! Near restaurants and shops and on colloseum door step!

It would be nice to have a bottle of water on arrival for the guests.
The apartment is in a very quiet but very central location. It was very easy to visit the main attractions by foot but also the metro station is really close. Gianluca is an excellent and very responsive host!

There was a musty smell that came and went in the bathroom. We lit a candle which helped.
Location location location. So close to the Colosseum and within walking distance to many landmarks. Plenty of great restaurants and cafes close by. Good size for 3 of us and it was great to have the kitchen and dining area. Photos are accurate.

The only thing to point out is that the bed room doesn't have AC just a ceiling fan, the unit is outside in the living area. The apartment stayed at a comfortable temperature but we were there during an extreme heat wave (106 F) and the room was a little warm. We were able to sleep well, but it wasn't as cool as we'd hoped. Also the handheld shower head kept coming lose and the drain was a bit slow. Other than those things everything else was super nice and we really enjoyed the stay.
This place was a across the street from the colosseum, it doesn't get any better than that. The flat was clean, had everything you could possibly need: comfy bed, big bathroom, nice kitchen, a balcony and the building had a lift/elevator (this was super important to us since we had a lot of luggage and the flat was in the 5th floor). While it was in a very touristy area, it was very quiet at night. We were able to rest very well. The host takes a lot of pride in the location and it shows. We appreciated the details of the vinyl collection, the restaurant suggestions and the extra towels. The place was very clean and the beds were comfortable. It was a short 5 minute walk to the grocery store or local restaurants and even shorter walk to Rome's #1 main attraction, the metro station and Taxi stop. Highly recommended.

I travel to Rome regularly and have stayed in numerous accommodations. This is definitely among the best and most satisfying stay. Vinylogy Apt is a comfortable, centrally-located and tastefully-decorated apartment with everything you need for a feel-at-home stay. It's quiet and the bed is very comfortable. The communication with the host was easy and clear. A friendly reminder, make sure to have some changes with you as you need to leave cash for the city tax upon checking out.

The host is very helpful and flexible. The apartment is on a perfect location. When we arrived on Friday evening, we found parking place in front of the house. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. It was our fourth time in Rome, but if we come back we would love to stay here again.

The only AC unit is in the living room so in July even with the fan the bedroom was roasting.
Amazing amazing location, very cute apartment, nice decor and a great touch having the vinyl player with good music available!

I highly recommend staying in this apartment when visiting Rome. The location is ideal, with the colloseum at the end of the street. The apartment is perfect and has everything that you will need. The hosts are very friendly and accomodating.

We booked for 4 people and I felt disappointed that the sofa bed was not made up for us. Everywhere else we stayed they did they prepared the beds for our arrival.
Amazing location and stone’s throw from the Colosseum, short walk to metro station, and walking distance to some great restaurants (especially La Nuova Piazzetta). It was mostly clean and the kitchen was well equipped.
