Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainThe narrowness of the parking spots. Amenities could be a bit nicer, but nothing to complain.
Good variety in the breakfast. Close enough to the city for having a nice walk there. Clean room and of a decent size. Parking is good enough although the parking spots for 2 cars are narrow, so people en up parking 1 car in 2 spots, not a problem if it it is not packed.

United KingdomNoise- Despite being in a quiet street it was SO noisy. Our room was in the glass part of the hotel and the noise from outside (with the windows shut and blinds all closed) was really awful. Bar directly over the road, buses, 5am deliveries to the hotel that took 30mins of crashing about and shouting, cars with music blaring parked outside, screeching children. Take your earplugs. Beds- too firm for my preference Kettle - No tea / coffee making facilities in the room was a real downside for me. TV - Huge tv but only 4 or 5 channels tuned in that was all. Plugs- No plug socket near the bed. Only one empty one in the room. Ok for a few nights but not ideal. We were pretty delayed in arriving and asked reception staff for directions to get something to eat shop or takeaway (10pm ish) we were told there was nothing nearby and given a map and directed to an area 15 mins ish walk from the hotel... actually if you go out of the hotel, turn left onto Via San Marco literally a few doors down is a really decent pizza, kebab takeaway open until 4am...walk another 3 mins down the road and there is another takeaway. Reception staff need to know the local area a little better. Luckily we stumbled across these before walking 15mins further away! I think it needs to be made clearer that you have to pay for the indoor pool on booking. We didn't want to use it, I think it may even have been shut for the summer season but we were not aware before booking that it was 30euros+ per person, per visit to use. There is no restaurant / food at the hotel except breakfast - not an issue for us but as there aren't really any eat in places nearby the hotel it could be important for some.
We have just spent 3 nights at Hotel San Marco. Location - Great location. We walked everywhere. We got the 199 airlink bus from the airport to the station then it is about 25mins walk to the hotel, 30 mins to the Arena, 40 mins To Erbo Square. The routes are safe and interesting. There are buses if you prefer not to walk. Room - The twin room we had was fine size wise, simply decorated and had the necessities. The bathroom was nice, great fluffy towels and toilettries. Breakfast - Great breakfast selection. Everything you could want and more. 7-10am so a nice long window. Would give breakfast full stars. Wifi - Great in our room. Pool - We liked having the outdoor pool for a quick dip after a day sightseeing.

RomaniaThe walls are quite thin, so you could hear your neighbors. The pillows are uncomfortable.
The room was clean. Plenty of towels were provided. The staff was friendly and helpful. Although the indoor pool is quite small, the spa facility is nice and provides 3 types of sauna, and 3 other types of water therapies. The fitness area sufficed for a weekend stay. The breakfast was rich and tasty.

GermanyYou can hear the people talking in the next room. The pellows and the mattress were not so comfortable for me. The breakfast was below average. On the second day of our stay, we skipped it, better to have your breakfast in the city. There is no view from the room.
The room was clean, had enough towels, shampoo, etc. The staff were nice and welcoming. The room has a decent montiro,I like the fact that I can connect my netflix or youtube to the TV and watch.

IsraelNeeds to be renovated. Some of the furniture needs to be replaced. SPA has many perks but it’s not under supervision so doors could be left open and everything seems quite old and sad.
Stuff is amazing. The breakfast surprisingly very rich. Slots for SPA gives you the chance to enjoy not crowded spa. The place is quite clean as it’s possible without renovation.

RomaniaThe minus ones are the duvets, the not so diverse breakfast (except for the vegan pie which is amazing), the shower and the lack of sleepers, bathrobes and tea station in the room (I'm not absurd but I think a 4 star hotel should include all of these). I would definetely come here again, I just want to help with my review.
The gym, the pillows, the cleaning, the very nice gentelman from the breakfast and the staff at the reception, the coziness.

RussiaI was surprised to find that a hotel of this standard saves so much on heating. The room has only one rather weak radiator at the entrance, and even with the help of an air conditioner it is impossible to heat the room properly in the winter season (it will probably surprise many, but it is WINTER in Verona). And it's generally very cold on the ground floor, I even feel sorry for the staff who have to work there in such temperatures. As a result, there are a lot of people in winter clothes in the breakfast room, which seems rather odd for a 4-star hotel. Feels like you're sitting in a bus station, not a fancy place.
Room quality is excellent. Contemporary design with new furniture, lots of pillows. The hotel's interior is equally modern. The staff is exceptionally friendly and always willing to assist. A 25-30 minute walk from the train station and a 30-40 minute walk from the city centre makes the location more or less convenient. It is located close to the Verona football stadium, so the surrounding area is not particularly attractive.
