Very minor: But the walk from the car park with suitcases on a hot day is a killer, loads of steps! But a cold beer helped once we'd arrived! Also, communication from the hotel was a little slow weeks before we arrived when I asked about parking, I had to ask 3 times, but as it happens there is a small car park at the lower level of the hotel, but a big public car park next to that, so loads of parking!

Wow, stunning location. Views from our room were some of the best I've seen, great sunrise too over the lake. Friendly staff, felt like staying at a friends house with staff who'd care. Had a nice little lunch, amazing dinner in their restaurant and an enjoyable breakfast. There's little around in the town from what we saw, we had a stroll in the evening and the hotel is very secure (locked gates with a card you can use), but the hotel has everything you need including a lovely (but cold) pool! We arrived a little early, which was handy since the car park only holds about 6 cars but there's lots of public parking close by. Will stay again.

Everything is a climb to this premium property . No elevator. No level on site parking. We parked in free church lot that meant 50m walk up cobblestones then up two floors to room. Even drive up to parking lot is typical narrow road 1/4 mile...only had a few "back downs" over 4 night stay.

Beautiful setting with excellent staff. Little village of Oggibbio is very nice. View from Room 1 is amazing. Huge bathroom. Grounds are very nice. Wonderful breakfast. Dinner was good if a bit pricey.

The views from our room were amazing. Lovely quiet position. Lovely fresh buffet breakfasts, tasted even nicer sitting outside on the terrace. Great pool with shower and WC facilities.

Rooms were very bright in the morning and the air con was a bit hit and miss, but really not a deal breaker.

Stunning location in the hills overlooking Lake Maggiore. Wonderful friendly hosts. We stayed in two rooms, both with a view over the lake and both of which we loved. The breakfast was exceptional, with lovely fresh eggs, delicious meats, cheeses, fruits, pastries and jams. The pool area was superb and super relaxing - so nice to sip away an Aperol in the sun while reading a book or simply watching the clouds float past. The general ambiance was top notch and thoroughly enjoyable. The staff were friendly and attentive. The dinner at the lovely restaurant was 5 star and overall we couldn't have wished for a better or more idillic stay. Highly, highly recommended.

Not a critique but you should be aware that accessibility may be a challenge as there are quite a number of stairs to climb and no elevators.

Absolutely amazing location and probably one of the most beautiful places you’ll ever stay at. The view over the lake is breathtaking. Staff are super nice and helpful. Food is great. Pool located in the very well kept garden. Rooms are spacious, clean and quite. Beds are firm to say the least (which seems to be the norm in Italy)

We are pleased to say, that was a wonderful experience in the Hotel! The place was beautiful and gardens were fantastic!! The staff was friendly and the waitress Laura is one of the best we ever had!! The quality of the food was excellent and we bought olive oil and wine back home. We will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone that wants to visit Lago Maggiore!!

Everything was perfect. I work in hospitality for 10 years, nothing to complain about. Only gratitude for this amazing people and hotel.

Amazing hotel! The photos does not do the justice - everything looks and feels 100 times better in real life! Hotel is about 200 years old so you can feel the history by living there, gardens are maintained and looked after. Pool is beyond perfect with a view to mountains and lake. Hotel is in very quite place so if you seeking to relax - perfect choice. Staff is amazing and trying to do everything and beyond for the guests. Food is amazing too. Chef is using local products, we had great dinner and breakfast. Breakfast is only 15€ per person and you get chosen hot food as well as variety of cheeses, meats, vegetables, pastries and etc. Our room had a lake view, the original tiles on the floors and in the bathroom. Everything decorated in vitange luxury Italian style. Even sheets are Italian made, comfortable bed. I will definately come back and recommend to everyone. This was one of our highlights of trip around Lake Maggiorre! Thank you, Team and Oweners !! You doing amazing job!

The pool is a bit cold, but that's hardly an issue

The staff is extremely nice and attentive, the building is beautiful and the views are great. The garden is very well maintained, and therefore adding a lot to the beautiful experience. They were very helpful with the baby, the restaurant on the site was super flexible in facilitating us while the baby was asleep in the room (and woke up at halfway past the dinner). Btw everyone there seems to love babies.

it's a stunning property with views out over Lago Maggiore. the hotel itself is boutique and original to the area with loads of beautiful detail and quality. staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. the restaurant is also excellent. we opted for breakfast as well and it exceeded our expectations. fresh fruit, local cheeses and, breads and jams, to name just a few items. We loved it.

Villa Margherita was over the top and definitely exceeded our expectations! Dimitri was an excellent host, and the service was impeccable. We had dinner several nights on sight and it was excellent. We will definitely be back!
