the road leading to the villa it‘s pretty bad. an suv or 4x4 would do amazing. the rest should drive slowly and more careful. it‘s just 2 km but you‘ll remember them. the beds need getting used to but j have to specify i am the only one that complained abouz the bed.

it‘s a splendid villa surrounded by unaltered tuscan landscape. quiet, spacious rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, authentic italian meals. they speak german and english fluently. it doesn‘t say it on booking.com but there are a lot of classes (learn italian, sculpting, photo, cooking) and they take about a week. loved the pool. volterra is 15 min away. everything is taken care of so in theory you don‘t have to live the grounds. great value for money.

An relaxing stay in a Retreat close to the city of Volterra

The property is 3kms from the main road and the driveway is an unmetalled road which is bumpy with quite steep inclines and requires careful driving.

The room in the main building in which we stayed had a fresco painted on the high ceiling. The building has a spacious outdoor dining area at the rear and pleasant gardens in front.

    Nothing

It’s a rustic villa with all the charm of a family home compared to those that have turned into 5* resorts. It had the best views, and beautiful rooms and a fantastic family vibe to it! Worth the stay and close to travel around to must see cities/towns

Everything was nice but it is important to know that the road to get in is a rural one

A special place in the heart of La Toscana. The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. The dinner was a very italian experience: all the guests have dinner at the same time, in the same table (very long one) with the owner of the Villa. The food was delicious. A perfect place to anyone who wants to enjoy of a relaxed time in the magic Toscana.

The 3km road to access the property with road bikes (but the owner gave us a lift with his bus!)

The pool, the staff, the meals, the breakfasts, the tranquility, the view on the Tuscany hills, the room in the stables, the owner driving us with his bus to the main road so we could avoid to drive on the gravel road with our road bikes.

No internet at all at the second flor. It is very difficult to getthere if you do not have a SUV. The private road the last 3 kilometers is with so bad surface.

    Nice staff. Wonderfull surroundings.

I was verry dissapointed. It should be written that the road is a disaster. The organisation of breakfast and dinners is a real catastrophy. I understand the covid time but at all other places I have been was organisation and staff was better trained. Without a clima it is impossible to sleep.

This place should and could be a paradise, but it is not. There are so many mistakes. At night you must be very careful because there is no light outside if you have room downstairs. Plastic cans for watering are lying everyver. AndAnd weed should be pulled out. There are many plants for hot summers and they should use them not plants which need a lot of maintance and water.
