the room had bad smell with changed color on the wall. the bed was very noisy that wake us up. the location was very noisy and at noon the owner start to cut the trees without telling us and did not finish until we told him

Nice accommodation, 5 minutes from the sea. Spacious, clean room with balcony and garden view. Large bathroom. Cleaning was done every day, there were beach towels. There were bags of coffee and tea and also 2 large bottles of free water every day. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this accommodation.

We got an upgrade to a room with a view. BEAUTIFUL! Amazing stay, room is clean and has all you need for your stay. Bed is amazing. Soaps and such. Breakfast is basic but enough to get you started. Location is amazing, close to main street and all shops,5 minutes from beach. Staff is wonderful. Smiling and helpful

we had problems with air conditioning in our room , and because of this, the bed was very wet, sleeping on it was dangerous for health. we asked the staff to change the mattress , the problem was solved .

We changed the rooms - first we were in Economy room but it was quite unpleasant (wholes around the windows etc.), so we asked for a Deluxe room which was very good!

The people who work there were really helpful, when we had any questions or request they always went above and beyond to meet our needs.

We had a couple of evening meals at Watuna due to heavy rain and it making it difficult to get out to eat. These could certainly have been better, in fact, the second night I couldn’t eat mine but no recompense was suggested.

Location good having a jungle vibe about it but not far from beach and restaurants. Breakfast was okay. There is a slight room for improvement.

The staff were fantastic and very helpful! The villa location was quiet while also being near a wide range of restaurants and close to the beach. Our room was a generous size with a private balcony overlooking a beautiful garden. We will definitely return.

By my experience its Perfect location its 100 meters from the beach and main street where all happening.very nice helpful staff in all issue!we were 5 nights first run then a 4 days trip and decided come back to the same place after we knew the area find out its a best option.The owner even reorganized rooms with others to give us a room we asked too!it was about 30-40m2 with cmfi beds.Also the room has a large private terrace.Im sure that if we come again will definitely stay at same place!Thank u VillaWatuna management

Part 1 (Economy Room): A small fan would have been a welcome addition to keep the mosquitos away. The bed was FIRM – maybe our only complaint. That and the WiFi was inconsistent in this area. Part 2 ("Upgrade"): After agreeing to a higher price for the “upgrade” and receiving the receipt, our host came to our room and told there was an oversight, a private booking for our new room, and we would have to go up one further level, an extra $5/night on top of the extra $3 from the initial upgrade. We didn’t like that room as much – no ceiling fan, just AC; inconsistent hot water; no good seating area inside; a lower profile mosquito cover that made the bed feel smaller. We liked the economy room more.

Part 1: We loved the economy room – spacious, good AC, a nice table inside, and outdoor seating area. Good hot water in the bathroom. The breakfast is good. The location was perfect for accessing the beach without being on the beach, very convenient for scuba at Sun Diving. We liked the small outdoor seating area. The WiFi was strong in common areas. Part 2: We extended, and all that was available were upgrade options. The biggest improvements were better WiFi and a nice, spacious balcony. Laundry 600Rs/kg

Great location, just a few minutes walk from the beach and shops, cafes, restaurants. Unawatuna is beautiful. The room was spacious, big modern bathroom, big balcony, good shower and lovely breakfast with lots of fruit, toast, eggs and great tea. The balcony looked over the garden and towards the forest with monkeys in trees nearby and the sound of peacocks in the distance, and fireflies, magical! This was the nicest hotel we stayed in on our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka. The staff were really friendly without being intrusive. I couldn't recommend it more highly.
