Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LithuaniaI went with my mom for one night and we liked everything. The place is quiet so we had a good night sleep. The staff is friendly. Tasty breakfast (buffet) and we spent an hour enjoying it in a small lovely restaurant. We also spent a couple hours walking around, visiting horses, and taking photos. I would not hesitate coming back.

Every member of the manor staff was just awesome, really friendly and helpful. The breakfast also was amazing, various dishes, for every taste. The manor itself is really beautiful and in excelent condition. In the territory you can see and ride horses, deers, aplakas, goats, also it has a private SPA, which is amazing for couples!

RomaniaThey accommodated us at the last floor, without elevator, knowing we are travelling with a small baby. Maybe, in this cases, an easier to access room would be more suitable.
The building itself is nice, the restaurant has a certain charm, the breakfast was good and more than sufficient. Unfortunately we didn't have time to go out for a walk, but it seemed really nice and calm.

FinlandAlthough the hotel also invites families with children, all the interior is not really safe or suitable for the smaller ones, who look where to spend their energy after a long car sitting. There are different antique decorations all over the lobby, which are not really kids resistant or safe. Someone from the hotel personnel decided to put a heavy ceramic bust/statue on top of the lightweight old wooden tea table in the corner of the hotel lobby (place where they welcome guests). It took just 3 sec for my 2y old to pass by, after which my stay bill increased more than twice. Luckily it fell not on him, otherwise his leg could have gotten broken too :(
We booked the hotel to stay one night during the long car trip with our small kids. The location was perfect near the trans Baltic route. As the hotel occupies the historical castle (end of 19th century), it offers not only accommodation and restaurant, but also a nice park around the main building plus a small farm and stable with horses. In suitable weather conditions you can get a nice morning or evening walk as a bonus.

LatviaFlies but was expected when staying in the countryside with animals near
Beautiful surroundings in a historic manor. Dinner in the restaurant was great (definitelyneed to tey, prices really affordable), breakfast was also good. There was still some construction going on on one trail, expecting that next year it will offer a nice walk. Animal farm and stables available when staying but need to check availability because animal farm was closed during our stay (Mon-Tue)

The grounds of the manor are beautiful. Members of staff were professional and gave us a lot of information about the manor. The restaurant, although small, was cosy and served their local beer.

LatviaThe dining room is kind of grungy and the staff was so rude it was almost like a parody. They literally ignored us completely, first when I wanted to make a reservation, and then later when we turned up for dinner. It was actually kind of funny. Maybe they were intimidated because they don't speak much English? But still – stony faces that never looked at you or even acknowledged our presence. Though actually, they ignored the Lithuanians behind us too. Only when the receptionist happened to come in and spoke directly to one waitress (saying, I'm pretty sure, "please give the guests menus and take them to a table") was our presence acknowledged. We were as smiling and friendly as we could be, to compensate, but still not a glimmer of humanity in their faces. Just – wow. Food was hearty but tasty. The only other thing, is it got really hot in our little room on the 2nd floor (under the slanted roof) during the heat wave. We were grateful to get a fan, but I'm not sure how many fans they have to go around. Luckily it cooled down during the night. Oh, and the fact that when you come off the highway, and there's a nice paved road in front of you that leads straight to the hotel, Google Maps tells you to go left on a rough dirt road on a long 5km detour. And the hotel KNOWS this (several staff members laughed about it) but yet doesn't put up a simple sign to let travellers know to go straight.
Wonderful location, with pleasant grounds to walk around, some interesting sculptures, and surrounded by beautiful fields and wonderful fresh air. Just off the road to Riga, yet a real dose of the countryside. The petting zoo is probably fun for kids. The buildings are beautiful from the outside, though a little worn down and scruffy on the inside. But if you don't expect a chic and modern room, you won't be disappointed. Wifi was great, bed was surprisingly comfortable, shower fine. Breakfast very hearty, more for the Eastern Europe palate, but with good rolls and little cottage-cheese pancakes. The receptionist and housekeeper were friendly and brought us a fan when we asked. Oh, and it's very lucky to have screens on the windows to let in the evening breeze without all the insects of the countryside. There's also a kettle and some tea in the room.
