The way to the rooms is confusing, as well as the way in and out of the hotel.

The room is big and has all basic necessities. The location is near forest and clean air. The hotel is goos for people who do sport as is in a sport facility: plenty of space to exercise.

This is one of the strangest and most unexpectedly fabulous places we've ever stayed. We were in Valmiera at the start of a canoe trip on the Gauja and just needed somewhere to sleep for the night. What we got was a huge and spotlessly clean room, with desk and TV, and a view out into the forest, four comfortable single beds, a large entrance lobby with storage- lockers, en suite toilet and separate en-suite shower. The rooms are designed to be used for visiting sports teams and are simple & very well soundproofed - ideal for a short stay where a bit of extra space would be helpful. Staying in this state-of-the-art sports complex is really interesting and we watched athletes and enthusiastic locals training in the indoor arena and outdoor all-weather track as we walked around. Breakfast (an extra Euro 6.50 per person) was very good, generously portioned, and served in the cafe near the entrance atrium. The staff were really, really helpful, letting us park our car for the week we were away canoeing and giving us use of a changing room and shower at the end of our adventure at no additional cost. The Stadium Hotel is amazingly good value for what it is and we will certainly use it again if we are back in Valmiera.

It was a little difficult to figure out how to get from the parking lot to the reception. Perhaps it would be worthwhile to place some additional signs. But this did not affect the overall good impression of the hotel.

The room exceeded our expectations. Very spacious room with a large hallway and comfortable furniture. Separate shower and toilet rooms. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. The hotel also has a large parking area.

Everything was great at this hotel except staff at breakfast wasn't helpful at all. We booked breakfast day before (pancakes and omlet) but when we came to breakfast we didn't get any. We asked for it and staff just said they don't have.

The air conditioning in the room could have been better (cooler) as you couldn't get the windows wide open. The towel hook was missing in the WC. The most frustrating part of our stay was the daily navigation out and in to our room. First, you had to go to second floor in order to get to the third floor and walk along long corridores. Sauna would have been a great plus but we were told it is out of order in the summer time.

Rooms were nice and tidy. The breakfast was good but the portions we needed to order beforehand from the list were too large for us and it was a shame to leave food on the plate... We didn't notice the fridge in the hotel description of Booking.com hence, it was a really nice surprise there was a fridge after all! Especially as it was an extremely hot weekend. There was also a cafe and terrace where you could enjoy some beer or other drinks and a nice restaurant is located about 500 m from the hotel. The hotel seems to be meant for athlets but is suitable also for any other people. Quiet place with pretty view.

Difficult to understand how to enter and where to park car. Need more signs on the road. impossible to park car nearby the lobby. Lobby and cafeteria is quite far from rooms. Need to use stairs to reach rooms from lobby and cafeteria, not suited for handicapped people.

Nice location, 5 minutes walk till City centre, pine forest around, gyms, sports premises, for extreme feelings "walk on the air" available. Fresh air, nice Gauja river nearby. Grocery just 2 minutes away.
