Immediate sales pitch first 2 hours Not informed when reserving that it was Saturday to Saturday and had to move. Food was ok. All facilities not available 7 days. Best restaurant closed on Saturday. No shuttle available on Saturday though paid for and only $25 back out of $90 and had to pay for cab. A definite difference in environment between members and vacationers paying.

I believe the price paid (~600USD /night in 2023) is a bit too much for what the resort offers - but at the same time, Cancun is not a cheap place. Other than that, if your reservation is not Sunday to Sat, they will make you change rooms each Saturday, which is a bit annoying.

I think the hotel has one of the cleanest and nicest beach area out of all other hotels in Cancun. The rooms are ok, a tad dated. The food was diverse and good for an all inclusive resort. It's also only a 20 mins car ride from the airport.

I didn’t like that rooms are a bit old and that in some menus you can’t order everything, it’s strange having all inclusive pay for some dishes, or some cocktails.

The property was nice, many activities, like yoga and water aerobics. Food is tasty and you can always find smth what’s opened to eat, if now room service is available and have the best royal burgers I’ve ever tried. We also had amazing view from our room, it was room with view on pool and ocean.

Some of the staff wasn't friendly. I ended up needing to speak to the manager by the second day there I was fed up. Juan took great care of me after that.

I loved the ambiance, the location and the beach was amazing and beautiful. The food at the veranda was pretty good and the bar at the pool was great.

All in all our stay was great. The hotel has inside a market for your convenience, we opted for an All inclusive experience. Something that may feel odd is that even that is an all-inclusive package, we still need to review checks for every time we wanted to grab some meal or snack, and because they don't have an all the time snack bar it added some time if you want to grab a quick one.

The room was in front of the pool, and with quick access to the beach. All the staff were very helpful. Our was a short stay but we enjoyed very much. I would recommend if you want to enjoy a tour, please reserve it in the hotel as they will provide accommodations for you and make it easier.

The reception staff weren't always very helpful or friendly. We kept receiving numerous calls talking about not smoking in the rooms (neither of us smoked). We paid a lot of money for the spa but the jacuzzi was out of order. The resort should also invest in an ATM that dispenses pesos instead of a min $50 USD.

I didn't like that every time I ordered a drink or something to eat they had to give me a bill I had to sign every single time even though we had everything inclusive, I hated that. Bill was $0 dollars but had to sign it after everytime we went into a bar or restaurant.

We had to make dinner reservations which was understandable but could never get the reservation times we wanted! The last night we wanted to eat at one of the restaurants at another location that we haven’t been to yet! They wanted and up charge to dine there do to a special event!! What why we bought the all inclusive!! There was a hat vendor on location next to pool, would have thought we had some connection to resort being on site. I paid for a hat for him to make and bring back since he said he would be there all week, never saw again!! Rooms not bad at all, little outdated but we spent most of our times at the beach, pool or on the balcony

We had a great time at this resort! All inclusive was as advertised, no worries about food or drinks for family of 5! Used room service as well! Great view of resort, beach and ocean from our balcony, Amazing view without getting beachfront room! Celebrated the 4th of July there and was amazed at all the festivities and dinner party they had poolside to honor American Independence Day!! Meet a gentleman who said he comes there every 4th because of there amazing celebration!

Not many considerations for handicapped or wheelchair access. Also, the specialty restaurants except for Mexican, are all off site, requiring shuttle service. The hotel offers shuttle to the restaurants, BUT it is limited capacity

The restaurants associated with Royal Sands were hard to get into. You shouldn't have to get up at 8am on vacation to (maybe) get a dinner reservation. Bathrooms are small and dated. Time for an update. Prices look higher for next year so we are shopping around a bit.

The beach and food/drink service on the beach were incredible. Room was comfortable and beachfront was well worth paying more for. Servers were exceptionally good. It had all sorts of options from kid friendly to more adult. A nice mix of activities

No where to go to after dinner in the restaurant. Sliders is too small and noisy. Need another bar area with lounge seats Why not convert sales area which takes up far too much space? Only two restaurants on site.

Not really the resort itself but just all the drunken Americans hanging around the pool bar. but I assume that is Cancun…..

The rooms were large and quiet. We lived the fact that there was no loud music at the beach and that there were sufficient beds everywhere although you had to reserve one early in the morning if you wanted a specific location. Food was great and with a large variety.

Nothing bothered us

Excellent service, nice pool and beach areas and restaurants. ’Special’ restaurants outside resort were very good. easy walking to Las Islas etc.
