Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaA tiny bit of street noise, but not enough to impact a good night sleep
I loved the gorgeous courtyard with the pool and the gardens and many hammocks to relax in. Each room is unique and beautifully furnished. It’s also close to the Granada sites.

AustraliaStreet outside can get busy (noisy) during the day but so much quieter at night.
Absolutely recommend this place. For me coming off Ticabus after a long journey it was about a 100m walk. Such a haven to find, lovely rooms, pool and breakfast, hard to beat. 10 mins to centre of town, good restaurants near, but in a lovely local environment with plenty of friendly locals sitting outside on the street and doors wide open. Felt very safe. And very well priced!

Casa Cubana is a colonial house in the quietest part of Granada. The rooms are huge and they have everything you need for the best stay. The decor makes you feel like you went back in time, and is all well kept and beautiful. Breakfast is delicious and served in a very delicate manner. Esther runs the place, she will help you with absolutely all your needs. Our best stay in Nicaragua!!

Great hotel, in a central location with wonderful breakfast. What can you say about Esther? She is there to provide everything you need, tailor made recommendations that suit your needs, warm welcome and a cosy house, to be frank, not a hotel!

CanadaFirst and foremost, Esther the hotel manager is amazing. She went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, provide interesting suggestions for activities, even invited the spa ladies in for us to have mani pedis in the open air courtyard. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. Hazel the cook and cleaner is amazing and prepares a delicious breakfast. If you are looking for a small boutique colonial hotel experience, you can't go wrong with Casa Cubana.

United KingdomEsther was an amazing host, so friendly, kind and incredibly helpful! I only stayed a night but she made me feel so welcome and sorted a cab for me and my friends the next morning. I wasn't feeling too well that morning and they were incredibly sweet in offering to make me something simple for breakfast. The place is beautiful as well and shame I didn't get to spend any more time there. The rooms are huge and beautifully done! Would definitely recommend.

United KingdomNothing.
Wonderful 3 night stay at Casa Cubana, we had two of the four rooms available, one of which was the balcony room overlooking the courtyard. Both bedrooms were beautifully appointed and the courtyard setting was wonderful and a lovely place to relax. Breakfast was prepared fresh every morning and taken at a communal dining table, which was very social. The location of the hotel is a short stroll away.from the town centre and our host Esther was a mine of information about places to eat & visit. Esther arranged a kayaking trip around the Isletas with Vladimir which is highly recommended and we also visited Volcan Mombacho and Masaya while we were there. We loved our stay at Casa Cubana, thank you!

CanadaNothing, this was the best place we stayed while in Nicaragua
The rooms were massive, and so comfortable. The shower had amazing water pressure, lots of counter space. The breakfast was amazing, fresh towels, and helped us with laundry. Esther was super responsive even weeks before arriving to Granada to help us organize any tours or taxis we needed, I cannot say enough good things about her, so kind and helpful. Location is Super close to town Center and staff recommended so many good places to eat. We did some tours through Andy, super knowledgeable and passionate about his country. Other tourists were asking our guide questions on our tours and listening in because Andy had so much great information to share and took us to the best view points at the volcano, even did a personal tour of the museum for us.

CanadaEverything was great.
We booked here to finish up 7 months of travel. We wanted a comfortable, convenient and nice place to spend our last few days. Casa Cubana did not disappoint. The hotel is very clean, very well located, very comfy. The AC works great and after 3 weeks of cold showers, the hot shower was so appreciated and the bed was so comfortable. Hazel makes the most delicious breakfasts and keeps the whole place spotless. Esther is a great host with lots of recommendations on where to eat and things to do in Granada. If you are heading to Granada, stay here. You'll be very glad you did.

United States of AmericaWe were extremely pleased with this hotel. Hazel was there to greet us and cooked us a huge and delicious breakfast which was included in the price. The location is very handy as it is within a 5 minute walk to the central plaza and a variety of great restaurants. The pool provided a nice cool-down after a long day and the location, overall, was very quiet and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again. Esther, the main manager, was very communicative and helpful and was very understanding when we needed to tweak some arrival/departure times.
