Room slightly small and lightly noisy

Room key and gym access key kept mal-functioning, so I kept needing to return to the reception multiple times to solve the issue. Not sure if they have bed bugs, as my legs were itchy in the morning.

Good gym, comfortable room, excellent breakfast. Staff were welcoming, helpful and polite.

quick check in, nice location, near everytning. room size was ok according to Amsterdam standard. breakfast really complete, it was great. room service fast and good.

The pillows are very uncomfortable. Not everyone sleeps on tall, fluffy pillows, so I had a very hard time sleeping. I asked for a smaller, thinner pillow, but they didn't have any.

The location was great, the information provided ahead of the visit was very good. The hotel itself is gorgeous, absolutely museum quality architecture and interiors. Staff enjoys their work. Staff is attentive to detail and goes the extra mile.

It was all good.

The location is extremely convenient, right on the Leidseplein. The American cafe, attached to the hotel, is really lovely in its decor, and the coffee and snacks we had there were elegant and good quality.

Glass toilet door, prefer more privacy

The staff all went above and beyond, especially Anouk in reception. We enjoyed both the bar and the restaurant. The food was excellent Great location, comfortable beds, very clean

The restaurant in general is not worth it. I was expecting a better breakfast and service. We had special diet, and we couldnt get the food as we want it. It very expensive for the quantity you get served

The room size is perfect, very clean and modern. The reception staff was very kind and always open to help.

Dining room staff, a number of the female staff had an attitude seemed a bit unwarranted and unecessary. If you are working in hospitality surely the key skill here is to excersise the hospitality part especially as many people are visiting for leisure. The hotel had a decent lounge but because of an event the was closed off. The event should take place in event rooms only not the lounge area as this is part of the guests hotel experience.

Reception staff wonderful, very welcoming and helpful. We were upgraded to a junior suite, a little tired and dusty but otherwise lovely room. Location of hotel was excellent to go in any direction really, felt very accessible central without being too central,

We paid a lot extra to have a balcony, the balcony was large, which was lovely, however the balcony was in poor shape. The tiles on the floor were not laid correctly so you had to watch out when using the chairs. Also the balcony had not been cleaned after the winter so everything was very dirty. We still enjoyed using it. The hotel offers to call taxis. Be aware that the taxis provided by the hotel cost the double as normal taxis.

The breakfast is really nice and the restaurant is spectacular. Friendly staff in the hotel. Not extraordinary service but satisfactory.

The rear door which is the main access with luggage has steps to carry the bags up although doubt that could be changed. Room prices were high even though there were a few of us staying but that’s typical of good Amsterdam hotels in general.

Overall a very good hotel as it has been for many years although now it’s Clayton Hotel the few changes make it better than it was during its short time as Hard Rock Hotel. The bar staff in the Americain Bar are very good and friendly most of them been there a lot of years. A good range of breakfast options.
