Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThere was too much dust in the matress :( I believe it was OK just to ask for a new matress :) but I had no energy after a long nice walk
The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet place. We enjoyed our stay, many thanks to attentive staff.

United KingdomThe car park is set between the trees, all very nice but the track/road between the car park and the reception is gravel/mud with puddles. It would be recommendable to have this covered with more gravel or paved. The twin beds are short for a person of 1.95m (6'5") Typical family hotel, some of the rules/procedures are not handy for business travellers, e.g. breakfast not possible before 7 am.
Location is wonderful, set in the forest and birds outside being your wake-up alarm. Nice bar/relax area.

United KingdomSmall room with double bed pushed against a wall. We arrived at night to find the entrance blocked by roadworks - no signage to show what to do or where to go. Phoned hotel who have instructions via a lane further on from there about a mile with pathetic little signs . Received no advance warning of all this
Breakfast was reasonable

GermanyThe comfort rooms were not what we expected and some of the terrasses are really in bad condition . You really should invest in getting a superior room which has no terrasse but it has a french balcony instead. In the comfort rooms, there is no possibility to get fresh air at night as there is no AC and we did not want to sleep with the door window open. The room was really hot even if the temperatures were around the high twenties. One can't order using a food ordering service which we found a bit unfortunate.
The staff is amazing! The first day we wanted to change the room and they made it possible the next day. They were also helpful with tips about what to do in the region. The location is really great especially if you are in the region to enjoy the outdoors. One can rent an e-bike and explore the region. The location is also close the city and Amsterdam is a bit more than an hour away. The breakfast was ok and one can also have lunch and dinner at the restaurant.

LuxembourgOn the 10.05 evening, the receptionist lady could not even force a smile to her face and was always interrupting me while I was giving her relevant information. She would really need some communication trainings.
The location is amazing, the food and the kindness of the restaurant employees.

NetherlandsStrange that the extra cost for the sauna (10 euro) is more than the cost of 7,50 pp per hour. This is not indicated in the information overview in the room.
Great location, good Grand Cafe, comfortable bed and shower. You walk straight out of the hotel into the forest. Close to arborium and hidden garden.

United Arab EmiratesLocation is a bit far from Amsterdam and it's in the middle of the forest. However, the distance was expected as it was described anyway upon booking. We didn't find the elevator going to the 1st floor so we have to carry our luggage.
They served fresh bread on the breakfast. Room was spacious and clean. The lady receptionist in the evening shift was warm and accommodating. The room allocated for us was in front of the Sakura tree so we were happy with the nice view in the morning.

NetherlandsThe hotel bedrooms need a little upgrading but good value for money. Needed a more central sitting/ relax area to play card games etc. As usual in Dutch hotels no coffee or tea facilities in the room
The area around the hotel is beautiful. Lots of forest and a great hiking area. The hotel was fine, good food and very pleasant staff. Perfect that we could take the dog with us and that he was allowed in the Grand Café.

MalaysiaSome of the room are very far to the end and it was a pain having to bring my 6 bicycle bags to the room and put. Wished I had one closer to the entrance but maybe they were full.
I found that this hotel have the most hospitable front desk stuff from all the hotels I have stayed at the past 3 months.

Belgium- We could hear everything that happened in the hall because the rooms aren't properly isolated - Bathroom and room were quite on the smaller side and felt a bit claustrophobic at the end of our stay, which is unfortunate for the price we paid
- Location is absolutely stunning, you're staying in the middle of the woods surrounded by nature and wildlife. The view from the room was beautiful! - Breakfast is a self-service bar that's really great and can cater for vegetarians as well (but won't suit vegans) - Staff is overall friendly and helpful

United KingdomWe were handed some information about the dog - in Dutch so I don't know if we translated correctly. There is additional €25 if the dog goes on the bed, considering we had already paid €15 dog charge fee per night this is quite harsh. We had 1 dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. The quality and quantity of the food is really not up to par with the price and I would say it is more for convenience we choose to eat there.
Location was excellent, just by the forest. Our room opened out to nice grassy area, perfect for the dog. There is a dog bed in the room, which is a nice touch. Good bedding and nice pillows.

SlovakiaI didn’t like the sound of other people at night, you can hear people talking on the other side of the wall. Also, loud noises during night. Banging & knocking. Walls are made of paper. Be prepared. Dirty carpet. It may be hard to find the room you have booked at night. The reception was empty and we were 4 people waiting. No reaction after ringing the bell.
I liked the place, it’s in a quiet location (woods). At night it might be a little hard to park your car but that’s OK. I liked the bed I had & the hardness of the bed. I also very much liked the art. :)
