Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The bed is really uncomfortable and affected our sleep quality, mattress was definitely too soft. WiFi coverage was not great in the room but we managed anyway. Would be great to have a small kettle even on a shelf.
Really pleased with the accomodation, location is great, close to the station and it was easy to move around Oslo from there. Staff was wonderful, helpful and always with a smile. We booked a small double but it was actually a decent size compared to other hotels. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was super yummy with a great variety of sweet and savoury options.

When I got into the shower I found that the soap dispenser was empty, not a huge deal but it was an inconvenience that was a bit frustrating at the time. The TV channels didn't have good shows or movies playing at night, and there wasn't a way to chrome cast movies onto the TV.
It was super clean and fresh, the bedding smelled really nice and was soft and comfortable. Room was clean and felt nice. Felt very comfortable overall. Breakfast was really super great with a lot of different options, staff was friendly.

For Oslo prices it is good value for money so can't complain.
The location, quite close to the central train station and everything around it, the place is good value for money, breakfast.

These are minor things. The room was clean but we had amazing weather and it highlighted a lot of dust in the air (I think it was from the blinds and curtains?) Also rooms in Oslo are on the small side, this was not an issue as such though it meant as a pregnant person in a small shower my belly kept turning the shower off if I got too close by mistake! There were no tea/ coffee facilities in the room- not an issue for us but might be for some. Again, small things but worth keeping in mind if that's the sort of thing that bothers you.
The location was great, very central, and we had a view over the opera house which was a nice plus! Breakfast was amazing (be mindful to give yourself some digestion time after!!). The staff were so friendly and helpful and the lobby was lovely, lots of plants and a nice vibe, lots happening, but was still chilled. Our room had a comfy bed too which is a massive bonus, and the days are very long at this time of year (late May) so the blackout blinds were essential for sleep and very helpful!

I full agree with not cleaning rooms everyday, but in this case I think, something should be available to wiping water off the floor after a shower, but luckly ventilation was great so it was drying up quickly. Not hotel's fault of course, but, for senstive people, as hotel alone is very quiet it is located in city centre, so outside of it is not sometimes. And in our case view from the room was directly into some kind of squat/druggies meeting sidewalk.
Great location, near the pier and train/bus station. Breakfast with many and healthy choices (real bread! not just toast, for example). Very clean, spacious room, after some comments I expected a room in a size of a walk-in-closet and in ours you could do yoga as in the broschure ;)

The room didn't have any kind of furniture. Only the beds and 2 "night stands" that were to small to fit my phone and my water bottle. We had to leave everything on the floor. The amount of towels is too little, we didn't have one for our hands or the floor in the bathroom.

The music from the basement is extremely loud. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Maybe our expectations were too high because of other reviews we have read previously. We missed the fish at breakfast and, more importantly, allergene list with the bread. Staff did not understand any English or basic Norwegian so that made it tough. We went for yoghurt in the end.
Location is superb. Shower has a strong and hot water flow which was highly appreciated. Leaving luggage in the hotel was no problem at all. Staff was friendly at the check in and out desk, but at the breakfast buffet it was hard to communicate in English or very little understanding in Norwegian.

We would've loved to have a bit more space to put small things like drinks, wallets, card games etc. Just an extra shelf or so somewhere. And maybe a small fridge to keep drinking bottles cold overnight
