There was one aspect of our experience that was a bit disappointing. As a light-weight individual, I found the comfort of the bed to be lacking. Throughout the night, I could feel the springs of the mattress pushing into my back, which eventually led to back pain. On the other hand, my partner, who is heavier, had a great night's sleep and didn't experience any discomfort. It seems that the mattress is better suited for individuals who are slightly heavier.

I recently stayed at the Quality Hotel Grand Kongsberg and overall had a good experience. The hotel has been nicely renovated, and the superior room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. One of the highlights was the bathroom with floor heating, which added a touch of luxury to our stay. I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive breakfast offered at the hotel. There was a wide variety of choices, which made for a satisfying and enjoyable start to the day. Overall, the Quality Hotel Grand Kongsberg provided a pleasant stay with its clean and nicely renovated rooms.

I drive an electrical vehicle. There is a large charging station 100 meter from the hotel with several 22/50/150 kW chargers. It on the ground floor under the Stortorvet Shopping center in combination with the ESSO tank station. Parking is overpriced but that is not the hotels fault.

The swimming pool is unfortunately closed down. That was a big blow. Really miss it. Also miss the fireplace in the lobby.

There was only Norwegian TV and the WiFi was very weak. And Norway is expensive, but that's not the hotel's fault.

The porter was very helpful - we forgot to mention when booking that we were traveling with two dogs. They would not have been allowed in the reserved room, but the porter was very friendly in rebooking us into another room, and the additional bed we had booked for our daughter was brought without any problems. We were concerned when we first walked into the room as there was a pub across the street, but it wasn't busy that night. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and everything was very fresh. The location of the hotel is also very nice, right on the river and in the middle of the city. We had a parking space in the underground car park, which does not belong to the hotel, but which offered direct access. The porter gave us the tip to book a 24-hour ticket directly because it was cheaper.

ok.. payment was a bit old-fashioned.. You need to put the credit card into the terminal, no applePay or contactless payment. Aircon did not work and it was a bit warm in the room. And some people could have problems with noise from the river nearby if the windows are open.

was a great breakfast. You get everything you need, from cooked eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, cereals and waffles. Breakfast room (Restaurant) is nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are not really big but enough for two. Bathroom was clean. We did not used spa and other facilities
