Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I was disappointed to arrive for my check in at 2.15pm, noticing that there was a door code, that I didn’t receive any guidance to get in (I received the guidance email Tuesday 2nd of April but I arrived Sunday the 30th of March, so funny !!) and that there was no one to welcome us. When the owner finally arrived, I realised the cleaning has not been done! When we finally got in, I could see that the appartment has not been vaccumed. The excuse for all of this was « I was too busy »

Access was a problem when we arrived. I had received no communication in the days and hours before arrival. Nobody was there when we got there and the telephone numbers left on the door were not answered. There was a big problem with locking/unlockingthe property due to a faulty mechanism. This led to great insecurity and was not acceptable .
The decor and lay-out of the property. Adison was very helpful.

Some cooking utensils were dirty, they still had food on them and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was also some half used food left in the fridge from the previous guest. Also, you can hear when people are walking around in the apartment above, wasn’t a huge issue for us but something to expect during your stay
Great location, super close to the beach and a short walk to the shops. Bed was comfy and room was generally clean

The shower needed a basket or tray for holding toiletries as opposed to using the floor as the shower was very small. Knives in the kitchen were all VERY blunt. Also there was no plug for the bathroom sink.

It is all that you could want in a beach accommodation. We loved the deck and the sunlight that streamed into the unit. The place is just a bit scruffy around the edges, but really comfortable and ideally located. It is a super short walk to the beach. The owner was keenly helpful with information about Whagamata, the islands and SUP rentals.

Our preference only....it was a bit "display home". Many people would like this, but we like a place that feels more individual and loved. Blinds let in light.
Great location. Excellent, speedy response to hiccup with WiFi (it had been switched off by accident....someone was there in minutes to fix!) Having own kitchen. Great hot water. Comfy beds. Plenty of rooms for a family if needed.

I had to buy a can opener...which i left at the property. It would have been nice to have a small bottle of cooking oil to clean the BBQ as that was where they asked us to cook.

The upstairs apartment was a little loud in the morning. They could be heard walking around, moving things.

It got a bit warm during the day, but likely since we’re not used to lacking air conditioning. Fan made it bearable and it cooled at night. Also ran out of toilet paper with none available to restock.
Great location, couple blocks from the beach. Top floor apartment was very nice with good breeze on the balcony. Value seemed top notch. Apartment well stocked with utensils in kitchen.
