Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It’s a bit too cold at night for sleeping, so I kept waking up because of that, I was thinking it might be good to have a thicker duvet or an extra blanket in the colder months.

no wifi in the bedrooms Says free parking but there are only enough spaces for 3-4 cars and to block each other in wasn't a problem to park on the road a short walk away but would have been good to know this

Wifi didnt reach the room and generally unstable. Pillow/bed mattress need a new upgrade - old.
Location is near the ferry, bus station and main food/shop street. House is eclectic, charming and warm.

Wifi didn't work in room, only in communal areas. Dorm cold at night. Noise from the trains passing just across the street.
Very spacious dorm, cosy backyard and communal areas, basic breakfast (toast) provided. Relaxed vibe, easy to meet other travellers. Cheap!!! Great location just next to the famous bakery.

The toilet was running. The wifi posted did not work and we had to find someone to get the correct one. No one was at reception during open times for us to leave bags like was posted as available. There is construction nearby.

The bed in the dorm was a bit squeaky and wobbly with no rail on the top bunk. Was woken easily by the person below my turning over and shaking the bed.
Great place to stay for the night after getting off the ferry. The kitchen was very tidy and clean. Great water pressure and warmth in the one I used. Beautiful little outdoor area to hangout in.

There was one old cupboard in the room and the drawer fell apart when opened. We think the soap in the dispenser in the toilet had been watered down.
The location for the ferry and town was perfect.

Maybe could use some more laundry appliances, was quite difficult to find it free with just one set (that I knew of)
The overall vibe of the place was lovely and such a convienient location in the middle of everything important. The house was not what I expected from the listing but not in a bad way. I would stay there again if I found myself back in Picton.

It could have been a little cleaner.
Great location, super friendly staff and the simple breakfast included was a nice bonus. Quirky house with a really nice outdoor garden area. Great value for money.

WiFi didn’t always work. Beds had only 1 step to get to the top and if you moved the whole bed shook.
Centrally located. Only a couple minutes walk from the Intercity bus stop & I-SITE centre. Property is on a minutes walk to all the shops/cafes & beaches. Lots of parking outside. Has a nice outdoor area, plenty of toilets & showers. Nice seating area on the outside decking. Has 2 kitchens too. Staff are nice & friendly.

Can’t find much to fault. Room was a tad dusty around some areas
It was quirky and close to all amenities. We had an upstairs room with small balcony which was very nice. Small choice for a breakfast… toast, preserves and hot drink all included in price. We only stayed one night as did the train trip but would of happily stayed longer

There were lots of flies in the living room. Also, the mattress was old. I could feel a dent where people usually sleep on the bed.
I was skeptical before arriving bc people had left a lot of comments about the cleanliness. But! I found it to be perfectly clean and it was very cute and cozy. Lots of areas downstairs and outside to hang out and it was colorful and pretty. I don't think it would be that cozy in the winter but in the summer it seemed great.
